FAQ
Adine is a fantastic, homely private villa situated in a typical Tuscan stone hamlet of private homes. It is a few minutes drive from the quaint village, Lecchi in Chianti and a little further from the beautiful town Radda in Chianti. There are breathtaking views from the windows, terraces and pool area.

About 50 meters from the villa there is a large sparkling, private pool surrounded by sunbeds and umbrellas. A few steps up from the pool is a wonderful covered terrace with large barbeque and incredible views of the surrounding Chianti hills with their vineyards, olive groves and forests, in the distance you can also see the Monte Amiata.

The villa itself is up the gentle slope, part of which has wide stone steps and part is a sloped path, from the pool area. It's not possible to see the house from the pool area. Adine is completely independent and private although it is attached to other houses.

Once at the top of the slope from the pool you cross a small gravel track which provides access to the hamlet, not only for the guests of Adine but also for the other hamlet occupants. From here there is either direct access into the lower part of the house or you can follow the track around the house to the little gravelled square and main entrance.

To enter the villa from the square you cross a wonderfully large and spacious loggia furnished on one side with a comfortable angle sofa. On the other side is a table with 8 chairs. The loggia is paved in the traditional terracotta and have a ceiling of terracotta tiles and wooden beams.

Through an arched double wooden door you enter the villa. You find yourself in a large and spacious room with vaulted terracotta ceilings, typical of the traditional Tuscan farmhouses. The room is divided in two by a short wall. The first part of the room is a dining room, furnished with a lovely large wooden table that can comfortably seat 10-12 people.

Following on through terracotta framed archway into the next part of the room, there is a comfortable lounge with seating for 7 people and an open fireplace. The room is also furnished with a large flat screen TV with a decoder and dvd player.

From this room there is a door providing access to a landing from which stairs lead up and down, you take the 10 stairs to the first floor, there is a large landing where there are two high quality bathrooms, one is very spacious with a beautiful free standing bathtub with hand held shower. The other is with a shower surrounded by crystal doors, passing into another room straight ahead there is another landing that once was the entrance hall of the villa, there is a wooden door that leads to external stairs to access the gardens.

Off this landing there is a double bedroom with a high antique bed frame. This bedroom is quite narrow, although quiet long and comfortable. The wardrobe for this bedroom is found on the landing. In the room is a chest of draws and arm chair. The window looks out onto pretty views of the Chianti.

From the landing area with the bathrooms the master bedroom is accessed up 7 steps. This spacious and airy room has a high, large double bed and very high ceilings. To one side is a big wardrobe and below the window is a two-seater sofa. From the window there are fantastic views of the Tuscan hills.

The twin room is the highest part of the villa. It's located a further 10 steps up from the master bedroom. It has a pitched oak and terracotta ceiling, the lowest part is approximately 2 meters high. The room is furnished with an armchair and chest of draws with built in wardrobe. From the window there are great views of the Chianti and down to the pool.

From the main living room leading down 9 steps to the lower floor of the villa you find a second dining area which is furnished with a large table that seats 8-10 people. The room has a lovely homely feeling and is graced by a large characteristic, central arch of terracotta. Also in this room is a double sofa, open fireplace and flat screen TV. To one side up 3 steps there is access to a laundry with washing machine and drier, and a large bathroom with luxury shower.

To one end of the lower floor is a large arched entrance door, from the large glass doors you can see the excellent views of the Tuscan countryside that surrounds you. The fully equipped kitchen is also found in this lower part of the villa. The kitchen is long and narrow, and has plenty of space to comfortably prepare meals. At the far end there is a little breakfast nook.
A lovely, typical Tuscan homely villa with fantastic views.

Pool Info

The inviting pool is located about 50 meters from the villa. To reach it you need to cross a small track and go down a slope and then about 25 wide steps. It's not possible to see the pool well from the house, and they have the feeling of being two slightly independent areas.

Near the pool is a lovely covered terrace, furnished for outdoor meals and with a huge barbeque. From the terrace and pool there are fantastic views of the Chianti over to the Monte Amiata, South of Siena.
The pool is 13x7 meters and open from May to September.

I went on holiday with my family and we range from 60 years to 2 years so finding a villa to suit all our needs was proving to be quite tricky. When I found your website I just felt a sense of relief

I can't be more pleased with the service To-Tuscany provided. Dick Calabro was especially helpful answering all of my pre-trip questions in a most helpful and timely fashion.

I like To Tuscany, partly because it has a tremendous range of villas, and partly because (unlike many companies) it has an excellent website that provides what you really want when choosing a villa.

Our accommodation, which cost less than £800 for the week, is in a converted stone farmhouse next to a 12th Century Franciscan chapel. There is a pergola shaded by vines round the back here we quickly settle into a rhythm of eating long pasta suppers while the shadows lengthen.
