Caterina 3 at Bardeggiano

Located in the oldest part of the property Caterina 3 has the benefit of wonderfully thick walls that keep the internal temperature comfortable throughout the year. Outside the villa there is a pretty tiled terrace furnished with table and chairs.
On entering the villa you pass the fully equipped kitchen which includes gas hobs, oven, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and microwave, to enter the lounge and dining area. This room has wonderfully large windows providing lots of light.
The sleeping area is behind the kitchen, it is composed of two bedrooms and two bathrooms. One of the bedrooms is with a double bed and the other is a twin room. The bedrooms are on opposite ends of a hall and therefore provide privacy. Each has it’s own bathroom with shower.
SAT TV is news only
The twin room can be made into a double on request when booking.
The owner with her young family live in the villa on the floor above Caterina 3.

Location address: Colle val d'Elsa - Siena
Situated on a hill top a couple of kilometres from Colle val d’Elsa, Bardeggiano is a well located property perfect for family holidays. Although in a peaceful country position it has excellent access to the main road between Siena and Florence and therefore well positioned for sightseeing.
The property consists of 8 villas plus the owners house, all of which shared the sparkling pool. The villas are surrounded by a lovely shaded garden dotted with geraniums.
Bardeggiano is surrounded by fields and forests yet close to towns and villages to be able to provide you with every comfort. Your hosts live on the property and will be available to assist you with all the information you need about the area.
Pool Info
The pool is located at one side of the property, it is easily accessed from the villas. It is surrounded by a wonderful terracotta deck with sun beds and umbrellas providing the ideal spot to relax.
The pool is 15 x 6 meters and 1,50 meters deep. It is open from May to October.
Nearest town
Bardeggiano is 2km from Gracciano a suburbe of the large town Colle Val d’Elsa which has a new centre in the lower town and a historical centre in the upper town. In Colle there are many shops and restaurants to choose from. In Gracciano there is a bank, post office, grocery shop, couple of pizzerias, butcher, baker and several other shops. The center of Colle Val d'Elsa is about 4km away from the property.

La cuisine peu pratique, la proximité des voisins (leur table extérieure près de nos fenêtres de chambre), quelques odeurs désagréables dans les placards de la cuisine et plus rarement autour de la piscine, la literie un peu ferme

le frigo trop petit, le manque d'éclairage et la tonte de la pelouse en milieu de semaine qui empèche l'accès à la piscine ( le mieux serait le samedi quand il y a les départs et les arrivées des clients)

Overall impression: Very good - qood quality and very clean. Someone popped round every couple of days or so to make sure everything was OK.
Highlights: So many! The towns, the villages, the countryside, the food! Great to come back to the quiet of the villa.
Unpleasant surprises: Baby No - apart from a hailstorm in Florence and getting soaked.

Our accommodation, which cost less than £800 for the week, is in a converted stone farmhouse next to a 12th Century Franciscan chapel. There is a pergola shaded by vines round the back here we quickly settle into a rhythm of eating long pasta suppers while the shadows lengthen.
