Belvedere Lucciana is located just outside the tiny hamlet Lucciana which is found about 4km from the Tuscan town Casole d'Elsa. The pretty stone villa is in a completely fenced garden and has stunning views of the nearby town and Tuscan hills that surround it.
The pool is located in the garden area, 30 metres to the side of the property. It's surrounded by the garden dotted with olive trees and very well maintained. The pool area is paved with terracotta and furnished with sun-beds and umbrellas that look out onto the stunning open views across the farmland and vineyards. It is exclusive to the property.
Belvedere Lucciana has two wonderfully sunny terraces, each furnished with a table, chairs and umbrella for outdoor dining. The terraces look out towards Casole d'Elsa and the Tuscan countryside.

Crossing the first terrace there is access to the villa through a large arched door. This leads into the bright open plan living area. To the right is a double door going out to the second terrace. The room has a double sofa and two armchairs around a stone fireplace ideal for cooler evenings.

To the far end of the room is the kitchen and dining area. The dining table is a large wooden table that seats six, to one side is a flat screen TV and a wooden cupboard well stocked with glassware and crockery. The kitchen is fully equipped with 4 gas hobs, an oven, microwave and fridge with small freezer.
Leading from the kitchen is a door to a little hall, to the left is a small bathroom with shower. Going right there is a second larger bathroom and the two bedrooms. The larger bedroom has a double bed, with a traditional wooden dresser, bedside tables and a large wardrobe. There is access to the second terrace from this bright room. The window looks out onto the fabulous views of Tuscany.
The second bedroom is slightly smaller and has twin beds. The room is completed with a large wardrobe that has a couple of drawers inside. This is also a bright bedroom and has the same pretty views that the rest of the villa boasts.
The beds can be made into a double. Please request this when booking if required.
Belvedere Lucciana is a well furnished typical Tuscan villa with excellent open views.

The very discrete owners live approximately 20 metres from Belvedere Lucciana.  Their villa has no windows overlooking the rental property.

Pros I have for many years wanted to visit Tuscany and stay in such a place as Belvedere Lucciana. It was all i could have asked for.
Cons We found the beds uncomfortable, especially the singles.
Local attractions Staying at Belvedere Lucciana was quite central to many places to visit including Florence, only an hour away but you need more than one day to see the real treasures. Volterra is worth a visit and the torture museum there but it is not for the faint-hearted. If you don't mind a hour or two in the car driving, the country roads to Umbria are breathtaking. And going the other direction you are only an hour or so from the coast. Something for everyone.

Pros Alles!

Pros Een prachtige ligging, mooi verzorgde tuin. Het zwembad wordt heel goed onderhouden. In de keuken is alles in ruime mate aanwezig. Prima badkamers.

Pros The view was breathtaking. We liked the quietness of the location. It was centrally located for the things and places we wanted to see in Tuscany. We would highly recomend this villa.
Cons The only thing we did't like about the villa was it did't have a dryer. the weather was very damp causing our washed cloth not to dry. This villa needs a dryer.
Local attractions We loved the small towns. Our favorite restaurant was in Colle Val D' Elsa. The name was Le Grasie. It had great food and the two brothers who owed it were helpful and very friendly.

Pros The quietness, and the villa was very well equipped an electric kettle would be better then having to wait 20 minutes for it to boil on the stove... it was nice to have our own entrance very private.
Cons The pool was freezing could be slightly heated for later in the year, and also thought someone would have come into change beds and clean once a week the owner was very nice, but we were handed sheets and towels in a basket and expected to change beds ect ourselves and the tv had no english channels and most were x rated but that does not mean we didn't enjoy the villa .
Local attractions Merlow restaurant food was fab.

Pros Privacy, solitude and glorious views
Gift of local red wine from owner was much appreciated
Cons Narrowness of access road, I scraped my hire car and this proved expensive. This should not put off careful drivers who have been forewarned. I would go again.
Local attractions Siena and San Gimignano are musts to visit; I recommend early arrivals to beat the crowds Excellent cheap lunches at Cafes in Piazza Arnolfo

Pros the setting is wonderful with views over the tuscan hills. the villa large enough we where in fact parents and son & daughter in law but was equal to both our age differences.the private pool is lovely after a days sight seeing of which there is much. enjoy the smaller castle towns/villages they are equal to florence without all the hustle and bustle.be aware grocery shops shut sundays and afternoons.( we got caught out). the owner of the villa is a wonderful man , lives next door but speaks little english.(but we speak no italian so no right to complain there).had barbies most nights ( nice that we could compared to the uk ) as a 10 min drive to the nearest restaurants which we did enjoy when we went.get over to the chianti region and visit a vineyard ( although someone has to drive). ENJOY
Cons only the fact it was a 10 min drive to the nearest village/town with facilities as it is in small hamlet ( this may be a benefit to others).also had no hot water , the owner did sort it but it went wrong again but with the language barrier we decided to just had coldish showers rather than try to explain. he was most upset that we hadn,t told him till we left. ( lot of explaining with arm movements) .but its part of the fun
Local attractions the best places we found to visit was the fortified towns/villages ( volterrra been the larger one).parking areas outside well marked some free some a reasonable cost. v del merlo bar for a local country feel resturant. in casole d`elsa village there a 3 or 4 to pick from.

Pros It is extremely well situated to explore Tuscany, within easy reach by car of Siena and the surrounding villages and towns. The villa was furnished and equipped to a high standard, spotlessly clean and extremely comfortable with far reaching views. The owner was very welcoming and charming throughout our stay. A wonderful relaxing experience.
Local attractions The nearby village of Casole d'Elsa is well worth a visit, although the scenery throughout the area is stunning.
