Casa Ceperano 14
Location address: Radda in Chianti - Siena
Ceperano is an old Tuscan farm house freshly restored by your hosts the Soldani family. Situated a few miles outside the famous Chianti town of Radda in Chianti the property is surrounded by vineyards and olive groves in a quiet but open position at the end of a private road. Accommodation 14 people.
The swimming pool is 300 meters from the villa and is set in a beautifully kept garden, maintained and tended by the Soldani family. The pool is accessed via a ladder at each end and the paved surround is furnished with sunloungers and chairs. The swimming pool measures 12 x 5 x 1-2.5 meters and is open from mid-May to September.
Casa Ceperano has several terraces situated on different sides of the house, allowing superb views from every direction. They give you the opportunity of relaxing in the warm Tuscan sun or enjoying a refreshing break in the shade throughout the whole day.
There are 6 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms with showers in the house and a privately entered attic bedroom, which has a further double bed and its own bathroom (please note that the studio is at the top of a steep spiral staircase; it is also connected with the apartment girasole). The bedrooms are comfortably spread out over the three levels of the villa.
You also have irresistible views over the valley with its olive groves and vineyards. At night you can choose a terrace to dine on under the stars and in the company of the distant lights of Radda in Chianti.
Out of high season Ceperano is also offered as three separate apartments two of which girasole and uva can be interconnecting if required, the third limoni has a separate entrance a few steps away, this explains why there are three kitchens in the villa.
There is also a studio apartment that is located on the ground floor of the villa and has a table with chairs outside. It has an independent entrance.
There is a basement apartment with separate access occupied by the maid. This neighbours the studio apartment.
The village of Radda in Chianti is a short 5 minute walk from the villa up a steep track. Please note that the track is not suitable for buggies or people with walking difficulties. The village can also be reached on foot using the roadway (2km walk).
Four bedrooms can be made into twin or double on request and 3 are fixed double.
To one side, a few steps away from the villa is a pretty iron pergola with bamboo shading. Here there is a marble topped table with plenty of seating to dine al fresco

There is a large flat area laid to gravel surrounding the house of Ceperano with no access for cars, this creates plenty of space to stroll around the grounds - or for the fit the Chianti town of Radda is a km up a steep hill to the front of the house.
The swimming pool is 300 meters from the house of Ceperano and is set in a beautifully kept garden, cured and tended by the family Soldani.
The swimming pool is 12 x 5 x 1-2.5 meters open from mid-May to September
Tennis is in Radda in Chianti 5 minutes drive, the price is about 5 Euro per hour for day time bookings and 10 Euro for bookings under the flood lights.
Nearest town
The Chianti town Radda is a 5minute drive away. This town is also within walking distance, it is a 15minutes uphill walk through the vineyards from Ceperano to Radda.

Die Lage von Casa Ceperano ist unschlagbar, weil man einen tollen rundum Blick hat. Die Vermieter sind auch sehr nett und kümmern sich um allles.
Es ist schade dass der Pool so weit vom Haus entfernt ist und die Holzliegen ohne auflagen sind.
Außerdem hat es am haus keinen Schatten nur pralle Sonne. Sonnenschirme und Kissen für die Außenstühle währen zu empfehlen.

beautiful location, private pool (as we took the whole villa), ample parking, good access road, very friendly and helpful hosts, especially Sarah, who spoke good English and tried to understand my bad italian!
Not enough loungers around pool -we were a party of 13. Sarah did say she had ordered more but they had not yet arrived
The Grotta Del Rana in San Sano was excellent as was the Bottega in Volpaia, and both were (relatively) reasonable compared to restaurants in Radda. However, La Perla in Radda, though quite expensive, was superb, without doubt the best meal we had on holiday.

Our accommodation, which cost less than £800 for the week, is in a converted stone farmhouse next to a 12th Century Franciscan chapel. There is a pergola shaded by vines round the back here we quickly settle into a rhythm of eating long pasta suppers while the shadows lengthen.
