Capanna at Casenuove La Torre

Capanna is a detached barn converted into a pretty Tuscan cottage just a few steps away from the main building at Casenuove La Torre. It has a lovely covered and furnished loggia with great views.
The living area is open plan with a comfortable lounge area where there is a double sofa and an armchair. There is a decorative fireplace which is down a couple of steps, care needs to be taken with toddlers.
To the front of the room in a sectioned off area is the fully equipped kitchen which includes a fridge with freezer, gas hobs and an oven. From here there is access to the garden where there is a table with chairs for dining al fresco.
The bedroom is located up a couple of steps to the back of the room.
It is a large double room with a wardrobe with internal drawers, an
armchair and mosquito nets over the bed. There is access to the garden
from this room. There is also an en-suite bathroom with shower.
The loggia is not secluded, it is located on a higher level than the living area of the cottage.
Only small dogs allowed.

Casenuove La Torre is a lovely family run farm in the heart of the Chianti between two important Chianti towns, Panzano and Greve in Chianti. The property consists of a main building, a little cottage and a small villa near the farm buildings, for a total of 7 villas.
The communal gardens are slope away from the main building. To one side is the pool at a lower level than the villas. It's surrounded by a lovely paved sun deck furnished with sun-beds and umbrellas. Around this there is a pretty olive grove and beyond fantastic views of the rolling Chianti hills.
Surrounding all the villas there are the vineyards and olive groves of the farm. From all sides of the garden there are splendid, wide open, panoramic views of the Tuscan countryside with its rolling Chianti hills covered with vineyard, forests, olive groves and dotted with small stone towns and villas.
At Casenuove La Torre there is a small reception where guests can obtain assistance during the day.

Pool Info
The pool is located at a lower level than the buildings of Casenuove La Torre. It's nestled in the well maintained gardens that surround the villas, and has fantastic views of the countryside.
Encircling the pool is a paved deck dotted with sun-beds and umbrellas to enjoy the warm Tuscan sun.
The swimming pool is 12x6 metres and 1-1.5metres deep. It is open from May to September.

The nearest town is Panzano. This is one of the 5 main Chianti towns
and has a selection of shops and restaurants. It also have amenities
such as bank, post office and pharmacy.

I like To Tuscany, partly because it has a tremendous range of villas, and partly because (unlike many companies) it has an excellent website that provides what you really want when choosing a villa.

Our accommodation, which cost less than £800 for the week, is in a converted stone farmhouse next to a 12th Century Franciscan chapel. There is a pergola shaded by vines round the back here we quickly settle into a rhythm of eating long pasta suppers while the shadows lengthen.
