Castello di Sovicille is a Renaissance palace built on the remains of the medieval castle that was part of Sovicille. The villa is located in the old centre of the village and is within walking distance of a shop and restaurants.

Dominating stone steps lead from the imposing villa down into the expansive garden that boasts excellent views of the Tuscan countryside with its rolling hills that surround the villa. In the garden there is an above ground pool surrounded with a wooden sundeck and furnished with sun beds.

The villa has a lookout floor that has 360-degree views over the garden, distant fields and forests that make up the Montagnola area surrounding Sovicille. The spacious Castello di Sovicille has been carefully furnished with many antiques allowing you to step into past eras of fine art and romantic knights, yet still providing you with the maximum of modern comforts.

The villa is entered from the main village square through an iron gate that leads into a courtyard surrounded by elegant arches. On one side white travertine steps lead to the ground floor. You enter Castello di Sovicille into a large foyer that leads into a lovely spacious living room that has access to a small terrace.

On this floor there is a second living room that has steps to the villa’s park and to a large terrace that is shared with the neighbouring restaurant. The restaurant offers a catering service to the villa should you wish it. You can then choose if you wish to eat on your private part of the terrace or the restaurant’s part of the terrace.

To one side there is a large dining room and a simple kitchen with gas hobs, fridge/freezer, oven and dishwasher. Completing the floor are two bedrooms with twin beds, 2 bathrooms with bathtubs that have hand held showers and a suite consisting of a double bedroom, small sitting area and an en-suite bathroom with bathtub and hand held shower.

Stairs lead to the second level that has a comfortable living area. There are 9 bedrooms on this floor. One is with twin beds and has an en-suite bathroom with bathtub with hand held shower. There is also air-conditioning in this room.

The remaining 8 bedrooms all have double beds and en-suite bathrooms. Three of the bathrooms are with bathtubs that have hand held showers; the other 5 bathrooms are with showers. Five of the bedrooms have air-conditioning while the rooms without air-conditioning have screens at the windows. A laundry room with washing machine and dryer completes the floor.

Due to the amount of valuable items in the villa children under 10 years are allowed at this property on a request basis only upto a maximum of 4.
