Cornino di Radda is a traditional stone villa set in a stunning elevated location on a family estate. Surrounded by endless rows of vines and woodland, it is a perfect refuge to relax and unwind in. The villa has two independent apartments, one with 5 bedrooms and one with 4 bedrooms. The villa is only 4kms from the charming Tuscan town of Radda in Chianti which has shops, supermarkets, banks, chemist and restaurants.
Outside the garden wraps around the house and has panoramic views of the surrounding Tuscan countryside. The grounds are mainly grass with mature trees providing welcome shade during the hottest part of the day.
The large swimming pool has a wide paved surround furnished with sun loungers tables and chairs.Poolside there is also a brick built barbecue and pizza oven as well as a large wooden gazebo with dining table and chairs, perfect for those al fresco meals.
The arched entrance doorway has doors to both the ground floor and first floor apartments. The first floor apartment is reached by a set of terracotta-tiled stairs in keeping with the rest of the apartment. The ground floor apartment has the advantage of having more than one kitchen, which is very useful if more than one family are sharing the apartment.
On entering the hallway of the apartment you find yourself in a small corridor; the door to the left opens into a kitchen and dining room with cooker, fridge freezer, marble sink and open fireplace. There is a double sofa bed in this area too.
There is a further door to the right; this opens onto a small corridor with a guest bathroom with shower and kitchenette. Straight ahead is a twin bedroom suite with dressing/lounge area and ensuite bathroom with shower. There is a washing machine in this bathroom.
Leading from the suite is a good size kitchen with open fireplace, fridge-freezer, marble counter-top, oven, gas hobs, wooden table with 6 chairs and a TV with some satellite channels in the corner. From the kitchen there is a door which leads in to the garden. Just to the right of the fireplace is a double bedroom with wardrobe and chest of drawers. To the left of the fireplace there is a narrow corridor where there are two further bathrooms. The first bathroom has a rose motif with full size bath and overhead shower.The second bathroom also has a full size bath with handheld shower and a separate shower cubicle.
Directly at the end of the narrow corridor is a double bedroom with antique wooden bedstead and large wardrobe. The views from this room are towards the pool area.To the right at the end of the corridor through an archway is a lounge, kitchen/diner area with TV. A door from the lounge leads to the outside of the property.To the right of the lounge there is a double bedroom with ensuite bathroom and shower.
The pretty first floor apartment is accessed via 12 stone stairs opening into a large open plan living area. To the right is a well-equipped kitchen with fridge freezer, dishwasher, oven, gas hobs, microwave and mocha coffee maker. Straight ahead is a large wooden dining table and chairs with pretty wooden dresser. To the left is a lounge area with TV and an open fireplace as the focal point.
Leading from the lounge area, a doorway takes you into a corridor with access to a double bedroom and single bedroom. A shared bathroom is located between the two bedrooms. The bathroom has a full size bath with overhead shower.
A doorway from the dining area leads to another corridor with access to three further double bedrooms, each with their own bathroom. Two of the bathrooms here have showers and one has a full size bath with overhead shower. Please note that the double beds cannot be made into twin beds and one of the showers is and open wet room.
This is a great villa in a wonderful location – perfect for large groups of friends or families wishing to holiday together.

The owner lives on site. The owner has two Alsatian dogs which are extremely friendly. The owners allows the dogs roam around the property but he will lock them inside his gate if requested.

The large pool has a wide paved surround furnished with plenty of sun loungers, tables and chairs. There is ladder access at the shallow end and a diving board at the other end. In one corner is a brick built barbeque and pizza oven and there is a large wooden gazebo with dining table and chairs – perfect for those al fresco meals.
The pool measures seven metres by fourteen metres and has ladder access at the shallow end.The pool has a depth of 1.2metres increasing to 2.5 metres at the deepest point. From the pool area there are great views of the surrounding countryside and the town of Radda can be seen perched on the hillside.

Cornino di Radda is located only 4km away from the charming town of Radda in Chianti. Today Radda combines the modern day within its medieval surroundings. The area is famous as a wine growing region, and there are a few important wineries in the local area.

Es liegt in einer eindrucksvollen Landschaft, mit Blick auf Radda. In Radda findet man kleinere Supermärkte und kleinere Souvenirshops. In größeren Supermarkt (Coop) fanden wir allerdings erst am Ende unseres Urlaubs (er ist etwas abseits von der Straße). Die Unterkunft verfügt über einen gepflegten großen Pool mit Sprungbrett. Der Griller funktioniert perfekt. Mitte der Woche wurde der Rost auf eine neuen getauscht. Im Pizzaofen kann man selbst eine Pizza backen. Die Besitzer der Anlage wohnen im Nebenhaus und waren kaum zu sehen. Ihre 2 Hunde waren immer eingesperrt. Nur nach unserer Aufforderung, wurden sie aufs Gelände freigelassen. Fazit => Wir würden diese Anlage jederzeit wieder Buchen.
Von Radda besuchten wir mit unseren Vespas folgende Ziele:
San Giovanni; Siena; Castellina in Chianti;Voltera; Cecina (kurzer Meer Besuch); Pontedera; Pisa; Volpaia

Was waren die Highlights Ihres Urlaubs? Der Pool, die Landschaft, die schön eingerichteten Zimmer - wir waren 14 Personen von 5 bis 62 Jahre - und alle waren voll begeistert!
Wie war Ihr Gesamteindruck von der Unterbringung? Super: Die Fotos und die Beschreibung wurden weit übertroffen!
Gab es unangenehme Überraschungen? Kleinigkeiten: zum Beispiel der Hund der Besitzer, der oft frei kam und die Kleinen erschreckte; ein weitaus "größeres" Problem war, dass für all die Küchen nur eine Kaffemaschine zur Verfügung stand; aber das sind Peanuts!!!

I like To Tuscany, partly because it has a tremendous range of villas, and partly because (unlike many companies) it has an excellent website that provides what you really want when choosing a villa.

Our accommodation, which cost less than £800 for the week, is in a converted stone farmhouse next to a 12th Century Franciscan chapel. There is a pergola shaded by vines round the back here we quickly settle into a rhythm of eating long pasta suppers while the shadows lengthen.
