One of Italy's national monuments Hamlet Montefienali emerged in the middle of the 13th Century as a remote staging post on an ancient Roman road into the Chianti. After a two-year restoration project Hamlet Montefienali is once more the ideal place for rest and recuperation for both body and mind and an ideal get away from it all.
Hamlet Montefienali high point is the perfect place for its twin swimming pools. There is a 15 mtrs x 7.5 mtrs pool and a small children’s swimming pool 1 mtr deep - pools are open from April to October. Sun beds and umbrellas furnish the surrounding garden and terraces to provide a great place for basking in the sun while taking in the stunning vista of the Hamlet and hilltop villages beyond.
The on site Relais Villa Albizi hotel open from 1st April to 31st October. From 1st June until 30th September the hotel offers a restaurant open for lunch and dinner with a children's menu included, wine tasting events, cookery courses and a relax centre with sauna, massage and a hydromassage, poolside bar service and a kitchen 'take away' service for guests who prefer to dine in the comfort of their own villa.
A selection of accommodation of individual cottages with terracotta floors, beamed ceilings and traditional-style furniture, creating an appealingly traditional ambience that offers a private terrace/garden to enjoy the Tuscan hills while sun bathing or dining outdoors.
Every Sunday during July and August there is music and dancing at Monteluco, which is 4km away from Hamlet Montefienali.
