Built in the sixteenth century and restored about ten years ago for the private use of the owners La Ginestra with its private pool sits independently on a hilltop enjoying stunning open views of the beautiful surrounding countryside dotted with small chapels and castles in the heart of the Chianti.
The pool is found on a raised part of the garden 20 metres from the cottage and is boardered with fragrant herbs, the terrace surrounding the 10 x 5 meters pool is furnished with sun lays and enjoys wonderful open views.
The gardens of the cottage are well tended with flowers and plants of the region, the large lawns offer shaded areas under the trees to sit and enjoy the views, a large loggia set on a stone terrace provides the main terrace and has plenty of shade for relaxing or dining.
Entrance to the house is gained through an arched doorway into the livng area, to the right is a matching arch window with views of the farm houses and chaples dotted on the rolling hills. There is a large fire place.
The living area leads into the dining room which includes a dining table and chairs, to the right is the fully fitted kitchen which has a cellar attached, the cellar includes laundry facilities.
From the dining area stairs lead to the first floor balcony study/sitting area, here there is a single sofa bed should there be need, a door leads into the bedroom where there are three single beds or a double and a single and a bathroom with bath tub.
Off of the living area there are two further bedrooms and a bathroom with shower, the main bedroom has wooden floors and ample wardrobe space while the small bedroom has bunkbeds and a small wardrobe.
The ground floor of La Ginestra has wonderful views from all the windows.
The first floor has a charming bedroom with bathroom. From the windows there is a splendid view of the Chianti hills.
The laundry room is in the cellar, down a few steps from the kitchen.
