What were the highlights of your holiday? driving to hillside towns, wine tasting, Florence, Lucca
What was your overall impression of the accommodation?    great location, spacious, gorgeous property, furniture needs updating, especially bedlinens, towels, comfortable chairs etc
Did you have any unpleasant surprises during your stay with us? big green bugs flying around in the house, bus driver to Florence spoke no English and couldn't help us figure out how to find a bus back home
Do you have any other comments regarding the accommodation or service? would have helped to have more info at the house in English to help us with suggested outings, descriptions of local restaurants, instructions in English for how to run the washing machine, new bedding needed,

Wie war Ihr Gesamteindruck von der Unterbringung? Das Haus war wunderschön und hat den Angaben in der Homepage entsprochen. Die Gastgeberfamilie war sehr nett und das Haus samt Garten sehr gepflegt.
Gab es unangenehme Überraschungen? Die vielen Stechmücken waren leider unangenehm. Aber das ist halt in der Toscana so.

Was waren die Highlights Ihres Urlaubs? Abgeschiedenheit, das uneinsehbare Grundstück, de Sicherheit für unseren Hund und die abendlichen Sonnenuntergänge.
Wie war Ihr Gesamteindruck von der Unterbringung? Traumhaft. Genau das, was wir uns unter zur Ruhe kommen vorgestellt haben.
Gab es unangenehme Überraschungen? Leider. Schimmel an den Wänden, Duschabtrennung bzw. -vorhang und Holzwurm im Bad sowie Schlafzimmer 1.OG.
Haben Sie andere Anmerkungen? Sonnendach für den Whirlpool (Sonnenbrandgefahr, da man diesen nicht mehr verlassen will = Aussicht und Ruhe) und jemanden, der die Regenwolken wegschiebt. : )

Unseasonable storms had caused the water damage which has since been addressed by the owners.

What were the highlights of your holiday? THE VIEW,THE GARDEN,THE POSITION--28KMS FROM FLORENCE,34KMS FROM SAN GIMIGNANO AND AMIDST CASTLES AND WINERIES.
what was your overall impression of the accommodation?    IT WAS ABSOLUTELY MAGIC!
Did you have any unpleasant surprises? THE ONLY COMPLAINT WOULD BE THAT THE HEATING COST WAS TOO HIGH.( I HAVE BEEN LIVING IN ITALY FOR 8 YEARS SO I KNOW THEY COST).
Do you have any other comments? WE WERE PLEASANTLY SURPRISED BY A COMPLIMENTARY BOTTLE OF CHIANTI AND GELATO BY THE OWNERS-- VERY LOVELY PEOPLE. I WOULD RECOMMEND NONNO TONIO TO ANYONE AND I WOULD LOVE TO STAY THERE AGAIN!

Gab es unangenehme Überraschungen? Die Begegnung mit einer Zornnatter!
Haben Sie andere Anmerkungen? In der oberen Dusche war die Schiebetür locker. Im großen Schlafzimmer befanden sich Stockflecken an der Wand. Trotzdem würden wir nächstes Jahr gerne wiederkommen , denn es war wunder-wunderschön!!!

What were the highlights of your holiday? THE BEAUTIFUL LOCATION AND VIEWS.
what was your overall impression of the accommodation?    THE ACCOMODATION WAS LOVELY EXACTLY AS DESCRIBED ON THE WEBSITE, MARIA ROSE THE KEY HOLDER WAS VERY HELPFUL AND SPOKE EXCELLENT ENGLISH. THE VILLA WAS A LOVELY SIZE AND THE GARDEN TOTALLY SECURE. THE ONLY RECOMMENDATION WE COULD MAKE WOULD BE THAT THE VILLA COULD BENEFIT FROM A GOOD TIDY OUT THERE WAS A LOT OF PERSONAL DUST COLLECTING NIK NAKS THAT ARE NOT REALLY NECESSARY. THE KITCHEN WAS ALSO A LITTLE BUSY AND ALTHOUGH THIS IS THE END OF THE SEASON COULD HAVE BEEN LESS GREASY.
Did you have any unpleasant surprises? MOSQUITOES!!!!! WE WERE AWARE THERE WOULD BE SOME HOWEVER NOT PREPARED FOR QUITE SO MANY.

Wie war Ihr Gesamteindruck von der Unterbringung? Wunderschönes Haus mit sehr gepflegtem Garten und einem schönen Ausblick auf umliegende Oliven- und Weinberge.
Gab es unangenehme Überraschungen? leider zu viele Armeisen im oberen Badezimmer und ein Moskitonetz war kaputt

Was waren die Highlights Ihres Urlaubs? Es war wirklich alles perfekt, die Nachmittage im Garten, die Fahrten ans Meer und in zahlreiche toskanische Städte, die liebevolle Betreuung durch die Eigentümer.-.

Gab es unangenehme Überraschungen? Nur die kaputten Moskitonetze - bei der schrecklichen Gelsenplage nicht sehr angenehm
Haben Sie andere Anmerkungen? Wenn das Haus einen geschirrspüler hätte, wärs fein - wer mag schon im Urlaub abwaschen? Platz wäre ja genug. Werde fürs nächste Jahr sicher wieder auf die Site schauen, wir fahren jedes Jahr mit dem Hund in die Toscana----

What were the highlights of your holiday? Visiting all of the charming medieval towns and the exceptional warm welcome by the Italians. Food was wonderful.
what was your overall impression of the accommodation?    The accomodation at Nonno Tonio was very comfortable, and just as I expected from the photos. I was very pleased, and it suited our family well. The views and sunsets were spectacular, and we enjoyed eating outside in the loggio. The owners of Nonno Tonio were also very welcoming and helpful.

What were the highlights of your holiday? The weather was fantastic throughout so we made full use of our jacuzzi located in the garden area. The major cities were beautiful, we visited Florence twice as we were only about 40 minutes drive away. We also enjoyed our visits to Pisa and Siena. The views from our loggia were stunning; we were located high up on a hillside overlooking the vineyards and olive trees and it was so tranquil and quiet.
what was your overall impression of the accommodation?    We were very pleased with our accommodation. The garden area in particular was extensive and split on two levels; we had stunning views across the Tuscan countryside. The loggia was traditional and comfortable and catered for all of our needs though a dishwasher would have been nice. The surrounding area was very peaceful and quiet though we felt safe and secure with our 3 children. The girls in particular loved the hot tub and the owners came out midweek to clean out the water. In fact, the owners were fantastic and couldn't have been more accommodating. We were given a lovely warm welcome upon our arrival and were told to contact them anytime if we needn't further assistance or advice.
Did you have any unpleasant surprises? We were totally unaware and thus unprepared for the toll gates which we encountered as soon we entered the Autostrade enroute to Mercatale. None of the provided information packs gave any mention to this, nor any advice as to which gate you are supposed to pass through. Unfortunately for us we entered through a yellow "Telepass" gate (unbeknown to us we weren't supposed to pass through this one) and called for assistance from the gate operator. The gate operator raised the barrier and permitted us to enter the motorway without a valid ticket, hence the fine we received when leaving the Autostrade onwards to our destination.
Do you have any other comments? It would have been helpful to mention that the blue pay and display parking bays are really the only viable areas in which to park for visiting tourists in the major cities as we found that the white marked spaces tended to be reserved for residents only. This tended to cost 1 to 2 euros per hour to park your car. Park at the railway stations in Florence and Pisa. Its a bit of a walk away to the leaning tower in Pisa but we travelled with 3 children and they were fine walking to the tourist areas. I believe you can get a bus from the station to this area if you don't fancy the long walk!

What were the highlights of your holiday? Visiting the hilltop towns, enjoying the ambience of Nonno Tonio.
what was your overall impression of the accommodation?    Excellent. Suited our needs perfectly. Owners were wonderful. Very welcoming and helpful. We needed assistance for a medical problem on Easter Sunday night. They came with a doctor, then drove us to hospital in Florence, stayed with us, drove us home. Could not have managed without them, and we can't thank them enough.
Did you have any unpleasant surprises? Yes, we thought our wives would do all the cooking.......but !

What were the highlights of your holiday? Relaxing at the villa and the open fire.
what was your overall impression of the accommodation?    Nono Tonio was excellent. Liliana and Mariarosa were very friendly and helpful.
Did you have any unpleasant surprises? We had a few blackouts due to a faulty circuit breaker but it was attended to promptly, being Easter made things more difficult, but again, Mariarosa was most attentive and helpful.
Do you have any other comments? Staying in a place where you're totally independent like Nono Tonio's is great, but having the owners at hand if need be is very reassuring.
