The swimming pool is situated in the large garden that wraps around the house. The pool has a paved surround which is furnished with sun loungers and umbrellas. From the pool and garden there is one of the most spectacular views of the city of Orvieto, with the magnificent Duomo di Orvieto clearly visible above the city rooftops.

Comfortably furnished the room has some antique pieces of furniture, and a large open feature fireplace with three sofas arranged in front of it. There is also a large wooden dining table with matching chairs at one end and a piano.

A door leads out onto a large covered terrace with easy chairs and a bed lounger on one side and a further dining table and chairs, perfect for those ‘al fresco’ meals. Again the views from the terrace are some of the best in the region.

The kitchen is very traditional with terracotta tiled floors and the tiled and beamed ceiling. Well equipped it has a range cooker with gas hobs, fridge/freezer, double sink, a dishwasher and an open fireplace which you can also cook on.

Fitted units run along one wall and there is a table and chairs in the centre of the room. The downstairs bathroom also accessed from the hallway has a WC, bidet and basin. This is also where the washing machine is located.

A stone staircase takes you up to the first floor where the four bedrooms and two bathrooms are situated. The first bedroom is a lovely bright room with two windows with views over the garden and wooded hillside. It has a double bed, large wardrobe and dressing table.

The bed can be made into two singles. Should this be required please notify us at the time of booking. Adjacent to the bedroom is a bathroom with shower, hand basin, WC and bidet.

The next bedroom has a large single bed which is suitable for an adult or it would be possible for two children to share. The room also has a large wardrobe and has a window overlooking the garden and is next door to the second bathroom.

The third bedroom is the master bedroom. This is a lovely bright airy room with windows on two sides with views over the town of Orvieto and the gardens. This room has a large double bed, and is furnished with antique wardrobe, dressing table and desk. The adjoining bathroom has two hand basins, WC, bidet, and a full size bath with hand held shower. The final bedroom has a single bed with wardrobe and desk and also has views towards Orvieto.

Outside the lovely gardens are mainly lawns with mature trees which provide shade and are great to sit under during the heat of the day. The owner’s mother lives in the adjoining villa, but she is very discrete and will not disturb you.

This is a wonderful opportunity to stay in a real family home in a beautiful location. The owner is a much respected winemaker producing one of Umbria’s most important wines.
