Villa Poggio Bello is a ground floor, red brick, country cottage, situated in beautifully manicured grounds. This Tuscan Villa offers stunning views of the rolling hills and Tuscan countryside covered with vineyards and fields.
A terracotta tiled terrace runs around the perimeter of the villa. Directly outside the kitchen is a Jasmine covered pergola with iron table and chairs for 6 people. A small flight of stone steps leads up to the raised garden and pool area. There is a second pergola situated near the pool in the olive grove. The pool offers unobstructed views of the beautiful Tuscan countryside.
The lounge is accessed through the main doors. This room is a spacious and well lit area with a high wood and tiled Tuscan ceiling.. The lounge area comprises of a comfortable two seater sofa, a cushioned wooden chair and a cushioned wicker chair. There is a large open fireplace in one corner. A television with satellite and DVD is situated on a sideboard along the back wall.
The dining area which is set to one side of the lounge contains a medium sized wooden dining table with four chairs. There are also two large wooden cabinets for storage either end of the room. immediately to the left is an archway leading to the kitchen, another archway directly in front leads to the first of the bedrooms and a separate bathroom with shower cubicle.
The first of the bedrooms accessed from the lounge/dining area is decorated in a bright pastel green with a terracotta tiled floor. The room is furnished with a large comfortable metal double bed, comfortable chair and wooden bench. There is plenty of natural light from the two windows which offer beautiful views of the corn and sunflower fields in summer. Set in one wall is a large fitted wardrobe offering plenty of storage space. This room can be made into a twin if requested when booking.
Left of the lounge/diner is the galley kitchen. This room is bright with light coming in from the four windows on opposing sides. Fully furnished with gas hobs and oven, microwave oven, dishwasher and large fridge with separate freezer compartment. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything needed to cook a traditional Tuscan meal. A set of double doors leads from the kitchen

The second and final bedroom is decorated in a soft peach colour,with modern hand painted frescos by the bed. A large ornate metal double bed and two antique wooden chairs furnish this room. A large fitted wardrobe offers plenty of storage space. A set of double doors gives direct access to the terrace and outside dining area from this room, a door to the left opens into the on-suite bathroom with shower cubicle. This room can not be made into a twin.

This sparkling pool is situated in the beautiful raised grounds of the villa and offers spectacular unobstructed views of the surrounding countryside and rolling hills. There are plenty of sunbeds and parasols set to one side of the pool area.
The pool is surrounded by Travertine paving tiles and is 12x6 and 1.2m deep. It is open from April to October, weather permitting, and on occasion may be used by the owner and his family while guests are out.
Nearest town
The nearest town is Foiano Della Chiana 16km away, the nearest grocery shop is in Farnetta which is 2km away. There is a supermarket at Camucia 14km away. The nearest restaurant is in Poggio Saint'Angelo 1.5km away. Cortona famous as the setting for both the book and film "Under the Tuscan sun" is 19km away, other attractions in Cortona are the Duomo cathedral and the Museo Diocesano

I like To Tuscany, partly because it has a tremendous range of villas, and partly because (unlike many companies) it has an excellent website that provides what you really want when choosing a villa.

Our accommodation, which cost less than £800 for the week, is in a converted stone farmhouse next to a 12th Century Franciscan chapel. There is a pergola shaded by vines round the back here we quickly settle into a rhythm of eating long pasta suppers while the shadows lengthen.
