Highlights: The view, the landscape, the surroundings.
Unpleasant surprises:  The garden of the accomodation wasn't childproof.
This wasn't a showstopper though, we had a great time.

Overall impression: Very good. Santarello is a bit odd with the kitchen upstairs and dining room downstairs, it would not work for everyone but it was fine for us.
Highlights: We finally got organised and pre-booked the Uffizi having failed to get in the last three times in Florence. Prebooking was easy and the difference in ticket price was nominal.
Unpleasant surprises:  I put petrol in my diesel engined car for the first time - hardly something I can blame on Tuscany. The people at the garage in Radda were really nice about it, the mechanic was very friendly and didn't overcharge me.

Plusses: Very clean, good standard of equipment
Minuses: Low ceilings, up-to-date local information in English would be useful
Highlights: The recommended restaurants - La Bottega, Le Vigne, both excellent The owner presented us with a freshly-baked cake one evening, a real treat!

Overall impression: Really very very good.  Spacious and absolutely spotless with the most wonderful view.  The pool area was great also. It slept 6 very comfortably. The gardens and surrounding areas were all very well kept and the Italian family who live beside the accommodation did not intrude on us at all.  In fact we hardly ever saw them.  The mummy actually brought us a very tasty homemade cake one day which was a lovely gesture.
Highlights: The views and the peace and tranquility of the whole area
The people,  very very friendly and helpful
We visited Sienna and Florence which are both must do's
The wine, the Chianti did not disappoint
Some really good restaurants with excellent tuscan food
Unpleasant surprises: The weather, the rain was very heavy on a number of days and it got cool in the evening.  Apparently this is not usual but it did not spoil the holiday.
