Casa Guia at San Vincenti
Location address: San Gusme - Siena
Casa Guia is located below the main building of San Vincenti and next to the pool area, approximately 20 metres away. It is a completely independent little villa with fantastic views.
The open plan living area is accessed from the furnished terrace. This big, bright and spacious room has two doors to the terrace and garden, from where there are incredible open view across the forested Chianti hills.
On one side of the room there is a kitchenette equipped with gas hobs, oven, fridge with a small freezer compartment. In this area is also a large large wooden with chairs. To the otherside of the room is a comfortable armchair and a double sofa.
From the living area is a corridor which leads to the sleeping area, that is composed of two bedrooms and bathrooms. The first bedroom is a double room with a window overlooking the great view, a wardrobe and chest of drawers. Next to this is a bathroom with shower.
At the end of the corridor is a second double bedroom which has an en-suite bathroom with shower. This room also has a wardrobe and chest of drawers.
On request when booking the double beds can be made up as two single beds however the beds cannot be detached.
The garden has an open wooden fence.
There are mosquito screens in the bedrooms.

Casa Guia at San Vincenti
Location address: San Gusme - Siena
The hamlet San Vincenti is located on the edge of a small Tuscan village in the cooler hills of the Chianti Classico region. From the hamlet there are remarkable wide open views of the rolling hills covered with forests.
The entire property is on sloped land, away from the village. The main building is at the top of the property with the two barns, Casa Guia and Casa Isabella below it. Next to the barns is the beautiful pool basking in the sun with fantastic views.
Below the pool is an olive grove belonging to the property. San Vincenti is surrounded by forests and provides a fantastic location to be able to see the Tuscan wildlife wonder by occassionally.
In the village there is a medieval church and other privately owned houses. The hamlet itself consists of 15 villas, it is located just before entering the village and has been restored to a high standard.
Pool Info
The pool is located to one side below the main building of the property. It's down a steep slope from the country road that goes into the village. From the hamlet buildings there are pretty paths to the pool.
The area around the pool is rather limited but there are sun-beds from which to admire the fantastic views while soaking up the warm Tuscan sun.
The pool has roman steps and is 15x6 metres with a depth of 1.5 to 1.8 metres. It is open from May to September.
Nearest town
The nearest restaurant is 5km in the village Starda, and the nearest village for shopping is 14km in San Gusme' while the Chianti towns of Gaiole and Radda are 15km and 22km respectively.

het fenomenale uitzicht, de rust, gezellig ingericht
de ligging van casa guia is zowel de sterkte als de zwakte van het huis: prachtig gelegen maar ver van alles. Het zwembad werd niet onderhouden en de ligstoelen errond waren van een ondermaatse kwaliteit. Eens alle vakantiehuizen verhuurd worden, zal het er een pak drukker worden en zal het zwembad veel te klein zijn.
Ik heb genoten van de prachtige omgeving en de vele mooie dorpen en steden in de streek, al moest je daar een stevige rit voor over hebben.

La localisation au milieu de nulle part, identique aux cartes postales.
Hébergement de qualité, mais je n'y retournerai pas quand les travaux de toutes les locations seront terminés. Cela deviendra un club de vacances !
Machine à laver ne foncttionnait pas, plus de 50% des transats de la piscine était cassé, ainsi que les parasols de piscine.
Acceuil plus que succinct de la personne de l'agence sur place le jour de noter arrivée et manque d'infos dans le guide disponible sur place. Une carte nous aurait aidé à nous situer.

Our accommodation, which cost less than £800 for the week, is in a converted stone farmhouse next to a 12th Century Franciscan chapel. There is a pergola shaded by vines round the back here we quickly settle into a rhythm of eating long pasta suppers while the shadows lengthen.
