Solatio di Sotto is a ground floor apartment is reached accessed from the driveway by a flight of steps or a gentle slope. It has direct access to the garden through double doors from the lounge/diner area.
The ground floor apartment has double doors which open into the lounge/diner from the grassed terrace. To the left of the room is the small, but well equipped kitchen which has an electric oven, gas hobs, dishwasher and fridge freezer. There is a traditional wooden dining table with chairs and matching cupboards near to the kitchen.
The lounge is comfortably furnished with two sofas a TV and DVD player. The main feature of the room is a lovely brick built open fireplace. one of the sofas is a sofabed.
The two bedrooms are located one, either side of the lounge/diner, providing privacy for the occupants. Both bedrooms have antique style beds; bedroom one has double doors opening out onto the grassed terrace.
Bedroom two has high windows along two sides of the room. Next door to each of the bedrooms is a private bathroom with shower and heated towel rail.
The villa is provided with under floor heating.

This traditional stone building sits on a hillside overlooking the valley below. The property is consists of two independent villas sharing a pretty pool. It is ideally located only 1km from a small village where there is a local grocery store and 15km from the town of Radda in Chianti with its supermarket and wide range of shops and restaurants.
Tucked away to one side at the rear of the property, is the single Roman ended pool. Screened on two sides by trees and hills, and surrounded by attractively planted flower beds, this private area has breath taking views over the Tuscan countryside.
Outside the property is bordered on two sides by trees and hills, the owners have planted terraced flower beds with Mediterranean shrubs and herbs.
The grassed terrace which runs the full length of the rear of the property to the pool area is furnished with table and chairs, and is a wonderful spot for alfresco dining. Sitting on the terraced area or by the pool you have the most spectacular far reaching views over olive groves and vineyards.

The villa’s inviting pool is located in a sheltered area, surrounded on two sides by trees and hillside. The paved surround is furnished with sun loungers, tables and umbrellas. This is a lovely area to relax, overlooking the rolling Tuscan countryside.
Single Roman ended in shape, with internal steps leading down into the shallow end. The pool measures 14 metres by 6 metres with a depth of one metre at the shallowest end, increasing to a depth of one and a half metres at the deep end. The pool is open from April to October.
Nearest town
Cavriglia is approximately 5km from the villa. Here there is a choice of shops and restaurants. Further away is Montevarchi which has all amenities including a very large hypermarket.

Ownerfamily was wonderful and very helpful. Peaceful place with wonderful view. We even took part in "vendemmia". The redvine of Solatio was nice and value for money.
It was little bit too far from the nice towns of Tuscany.
There are nice marked paths (number 29 and 31) near Solatio di Sotto at Solatio. Nice little "vendita diretta" in the small village of S. Pancrazzo. Very good and friendly little Coop in Gavliglia.

What was your overall impression of the accommodation? Good. Clean and comfortable. Information regarding T.V and video facilities were overstated. They were, in fact small, old fashioned and had limited access to anyone English.
Did you have any unpleasant surprises during your stay with us? No.
Do you have any other comments regarding the accommodation or service? No, it was a great holiday with a fantastic balance between grown up fun and access to the pool and exploring for the children. It would be nice to have a To...... other parts of Italy site!

I like To Tuscany, partly because it has a tremendous range of villas, and partly because (unlike many companies) it has an excellent website that provides what you really want when choosing a villa.

Our accommodation, which cost less than £800 for the week, is in a converted stone farmhouse next to a 12th Century Franciscan chapel. There is a pergola shaded by vines round the back here we quickly settle into a rhythm of eating long pasta suppers while the shadows lengthen.
