What were the highlights of your holiday? The highlights were the day trips to the small towns in in Tuscany. We especially enjoyed Siena and Montalcino. We also loved spending time at the villa. We cooked several meals there, and enjoyed local wine and the gorgeous scenery all around us.
what was your overall impression of the accommodation?    It was absolutely beautiful. We were thrilled with the location and the villa. It was very modern yet also rustic. The entire property was well laid out and we felt very secluded.
Did you have any unpleasant surprises? The front gate malfunctioned the first day, but it was repaired immediately the next morning. Also, we had requested firewood for the outdoor fireplace, but it was not provided. Finally, I would recommend a guide book for operating the oven! It was very complicated.
Do you have any other comments? We had a very positive experience, and would strongly recommend to tuscany to our friends and relatives. Thank you for a memorable experience. We plan to return.

What did we like about your service.
I found it excellent. You kept me well informed on our booking and l never had to give it a moments thought prior to our departure. You e-mails had all the information we required and there was never a need to seek further information. 10 out of 10!

What was our overall impression of the accommodation.
It was beyond our expectations. You can only see so much on an internet site. When we first arrived and viewed the setting and walked thru Valliole we were so thrilled. Maria Louise greeted us so warmly and we instantly felt at home. We left our luggage (as we were early) and headed down to Lecchi were we had a late lunch with Paulo. We thought we had died and gone to heaven! What a stunning village (including Paulo!)
Must mention Katia who greeted us when we first arrived. She was so welcoming, warm, helpful and enthusiastic. We met her when we went to pick up the keys. She was not concerned that we were early and encouraged us to leave our bags at the villa and advised us where to have lunch. She was delightful.
We were happy with our rooms and found the beds very comfortable and it was great having our own bathrooms. We made the most of the three eating areas. And did we cook some amazing meals all inspired by Italy! The villa was so clean and it was great having Maria Louise come 3 times a week and clean (and take away all the wine bottles!) We wanted to take her home with us back to Australia!
We were encouraged to use the herbs and salad items in the garden which was a huge bonus to our cooking.
The accommodation got a 10 out of 10 also.
One thing we felt could have been provided was dish washer machine tablets. Some of us have rental houses in Australia and we provide the product we want for our dish washers. We feel that people do not want to be bothered having to get detergent. There was also no black pepper grinder which we all missed!

What were the highlights of our holiday - so many! Here are a few.....
Villa and its setting and the location in Tuscany.
The village of Lechii and San Sano were perfect for our local shopping.
The meals we had at lunchtime everyday at different restaurents, especially at Badia a Coltibuono and Ristoro Di Lamole.
The fun and laughter we shared as 4 couples especially preparing our "Babetes Feast" each evening. The kitchen had everything we needed.
The pool was beautiful to swim in as so clean and excellent water quality and what about the view!!!
Daniellas wine tour were we all got a bit too much vino and became best friends with some of the others on the tour. It continued on our terrace and there was much joy and laughter - a fun night and also yummy food.

Did we have any unpleasant surprises?
None what so ever except we got very lost going to the village of Tonnie. Instead of it being a round trip of 76kms we managed to make it over 200kms. The good side of it was we saw a lot of extra country!

Having the free use of the internet was a great bonus.
I am hoping one day to return to Valliole as it is a very special place and we have all left a part of our hearts there.
