Vecchio Fienile is an idyllic small hamlet set in a peaceful location on the lower slopes of the Chianti hills, surrounded by the gentle landscape of the Val d’Elsa. The former stone barn has been lovingly restored and converted into five attractive holiday apartments that blend beautifully with their rural surroundings. Each apartment has its own outdoor dining area, perfect for relaxed meals in the open air. Well-kept lawns surround the building, creating a welcoming and spacious feel. The generous shared pool is located slightly uphill behind the apartments, ensuring privacy and offering lovely views over the countryside. Four of the apartments are on the ground floor, making them suitable for guests with reduced mobility.
The location of Vecchio Fienile is ideal for both relaxation and exploration. The small hamlet of Sant’Appiano is about a 20-minute walk away and offers a good restaurant as well as a children’s playground. The town of Poggibonsi is just a 10-minute drive away and provides all amenities, including several supermarkets. San Gimignano can be reached in around 30 minutes and is famous for its UNESCO-listed historic centre, Vernaccia white wine and the renowned Gelateria Dondoli. Florence, Siena, Volterra and Pisa are all excellent day-trip destinations.
About the villa
Fieno is a ground-floor holiday apartment with a furnished loggia terrace, perfect for alfresco dining while overlooking the hamlet’s communal gardens. Inside, wooden beamed ceilings lend the space its Tuscan character, complemented by comfortable furnishings that provide everything needed for a relaxing and carefree stay.

De ligging van Fieno was super , heerlijk relax.
Het zwembad had een prachtig uitzicht.
En met onze hond konden we zo de olijfgaard in wandelen waardoor je een prachtig uitzicht over de hele vallei had . Het contact met de beheerster liep heel soepel en leuk.
Wij wilde deze vakantie vooral rust en dat hebben we hier echt gevonden.
Heerlijk bij het huisje lezen of luieren bij het zwembad
Onze hond vond vooral het grasveld voor het huisje geweldig, lekker rollen en liggen
De beheerster is een hele hartelijke vrouw , ze was er toen wij aankwamen. Gaf ons een rondleiding door het huis en er om heen. En liet ons onze gang gaan ,
Een goed contact wat erg soepel verliep
Het huis was goed , alles wat je nodig hebt was erWe zijn natuurlijk naar firenze , Siena, san gimignano , volterra en Monteriggioni geweest. Vooral de laatste was een heel gezellig en klein vestingstadje . Hier heerlijk gegeten op het marktplein . Barberino het dorpje wat dichtbij was kon je goed lopend af , maar niet handig als je in het donker terug moest, dus toch met de auto.
