The large swimming pool is located on the east side of the property within the beautiful gardens of the Villa. There is a terracotta patio area surrounding the pool on three sides with sun loungers and umbrellas and a low wall on two sides. Terracotta pots filled with rosemary, and old fashioned olive oil containers ("orci") decorate the east edge of the swimming pool.

Villa Duccio is arranged over two floors with a further mezzanine level at one end of the property. The rooms all have high ceilings and there are many windows and ‘french doors’. There are steps throughout the property to reach the various rooms and bedrooms. All bedrooms have en-suite bathrooms, mosquito screens on the windows and ceiling fans. A covered patio is directly outside the kitchen door; it is equipped with a very large, chocolate travertine table and chairs for al fresco eating. The Villa is a perfect retreat for families or groups of friends looking for a convenient countryside location in Tuscany.

The ground floor entrance leads you directly in to the large lounge area with double height, beamed ceiling and terracotta tiled floor. The high ceiling and large windows give the room a spacious and bright feel. Your eyes are drawn to the large fireplace with brick arches on either side; comfortable sofas and chairs are arranged within the room to make the most of the features and space. There is also a writing desk, chair and coat stand in the lounge.

To the left of the entrance door and living room is the cloakroom with toilet, basin and washing machine. Also off this area, is a double bedroom with en-suite bathroom with toilet, bath with over-head shower and a separate shower cubicle.

Passing through the brick arches of the lounge, you enter the well-equipped, modern, professional-style kitchen. Wall cupboards, large drawers and a built in oven and dishwasher complete one wall, a large American style fridge-freezer is to the side and there is a professional style ‘island’ unit with a 5-gas hob, preparation area and 8 high stools surrounding it. There is a microwave and coffee maker too.

To the rear of the kitchen are the stairs down to the dining room which has a traditional, beamed ceiling, terracotta floor, antique wooden dining table and chairs and two antique dressers.

Up some stairs from the kitchen landing is the mezzanine bedroom with twin/double bedroom and en-suite bathroom with toilet and shower. Continuing up the stairs leads to two further twin/double bedrooms; the first has its en suite bathroom with large shower stall, basin and toilet; the second with tub, overhead shower, bidet, toilet and basin. Both rooms have iron framed twin beds, wooden chests of drawers and seating.

The stairs to the rear of the lounge area lead to another bedroom (with double bed) and a chair placed near the window. The en-suite bathroom is equipped with toilet, double sink, bidet and a large shower cubicle.

There is also a study on this level equipped with satellite TV, DVD player, CD player with MP3 docking stereo, desk and chair (bring your own computer), internet access and a tel-fax-answering machine.

Three of the bedrooms can be prepared with twin beds or made up as a double bed according to your requirements.
