Villa Il Leccio is a lovely villa set in a large well maintained garden surrounded by cool shady woods. The villa is only 10 kms from Orvieto, a beautiful medieval town in the region of Umbria, renowned for the Duomo, a masterpiece of gothic architecture. The position of the villa is ideal to visit Umbria, often described as the green heart of Italy. It is also well situated to visit the inspiring cities of Rome, one hour drive away, Todi and Perugia both precious pearls of the region.
The villa gardens include a large private pool positioned a few steps away at the end of the lawn in an exclusive spot. There is a large centuries old oak tree (Leccio in Italian) to one side of the pool good for cooling off in the shade.
The owners have another house approximately a hundred meters away with its own private facilities on the opposite side of Villa Il Leccio so both enjoy their privacy. The villa is entered into a lovely dining room directly connected to the well-equipped kitchen.
The pretty, colourful kitchen has all facilities: a large cooking hob, oven, dishwasher, a large fridge with small freezer, washing machine and a fireplace.
There are doors that lead to the furnished loggia, an ideal place to dine al fresco. The loggia is spacious and furnished with a large table that sits 10, chairs and a wooden bench. On the ground floor there is a small bathroom with shower.
Both from the dining room and from the kitchen it is possible to go to the very spacious living room that has a large, open fireplace and two comfortable sofas.
On the other side of the living room there is another dining corner with a wooden table that sits comfortably eight people.
A spiral staircase leads to the first floor where there are three double bedrooms and one twin bedroom. They are all colourful and spacious bedrooms. Next to this bedroom there is a bathroom with shower and a view of the garden.
One bedroom has doors to outside stairs which lead to the garden. On the same floor there is a second bathroom with a hydromassage tub.
All the bedrooms have windows facing the garden that wraps around the villa. The fourth room is a twin bedroom with single beds (size: 90cm x 190cm).
The villa has a typical wooden beamed ceiling and colourful furniture that brings a warm atmosphere to the rooms.
The three double bedrooms cannot be made into twin bedrooms.
