A peaceful private villa overlooking rolling hills and vineyards, nestled on the edge of an authentic Tuscan hamlet. With unique interior designs, a private pool and just a short drive from the quaint village of Lecchi in Chianti, Adine a villa full of character and comfort, perfect for a large family or a group of up to eight people.
The pool is surrounded by sunloungers and parasols. Even if you don’t feel like going for a swim, it’s a perfect place to read in the shade or soak up the sun. From this position you can see across the rolling hills of Chianti, along with the vineyards, olive groves and forests that spread across them. There is also a conveniently placed WC nearby. The pool itself measures 13 by 7 metres, with a depth of 1.5 metres.
Next to the pool is a terrace area, with a classic-style wooden picnic bench, parasol and barbeque for al fresco cooking and dining. It’s hard to imagine a more beautiful scene to eat together. Another terrace is situated in a loggia beside the house, complete with an extra-large table and eight wrought iron dining chairs. This area is sheltered by a sloping roof with exposed wood ceiling beams, and also boasts a barbeque, a comfortable angled sofa and a fire-bowl.

Once at the top of the slope from the pool you cross a small gravel track which provides access to the hamlet, not only for the guests of Adine but also for the other hamlet occupants. From here there is either direct access into the lower part of the house or you can follow the track around the house to the little gravelled square and main entrance.

To enter the villa from the square you cross a wonderfully large and spacious loggia furnished on one side with a comfortable angle sofa. On the other side is a table with 8 chairs. The loggia is paved in traditional terracotta and has a ceiling of terracotta tiles and wooden beams.
Through an arched double wooden door you enter the villa. You find yourself in a large and spacious room with vaulted terracotta ceilings, typical of the traditional Tuscan farmhouses. The room is divided in two by a short wall. The first part of the room is a dining room, furnished with a lovely large wooden table that can comfortably seat 10-12 people.

Following on through the terracotta framed archway into the next part of the room, there is a comfortable lounge with seating for 7 people and an open fireplace. The room is also furnished with a large flat screen TV with a decoder and dvd player.
From the main living room leading down 9 steps to the lower floor of the villa you find a second dining area which is furnished with a large table that seats 8-10 people. The room has a lovely homely feeling and is graced by a large characteristic, central arch of terracotta. Also in this room is a double sofa, open fireplace and flat screen TV. To one side up 3 steps there is access to a laundry room with a washing machine, a drier and a large bathroom with luxury shower.

To one end of the lower floor is a large arched entrance door, from the large glass doors you can see the excellent views of the Tuscan countryside that surrounds you. The fully equipped kitchen is also found in this lower part of the villa. The kitchen is long and narrow, and has plenty of space to comfortably prepare meals. At the far end there is a little breakfast nook.

On the first floor there is a large landing where there are two high quality bathrooms, one is very spacious with a beautiful free standing bathtub with hand held shower. The other is with a shower surrounded by crystal doors, Directly ahead is an open doorway that leads into a twin bedroom.
The twin bedroom is furnished with two single beds, double wardrobe, and a chest of drawers. Double wooden doors open onto an external staircase that leads down to the gardens.

Passing through the twin room is a double bedroom with a high antique bed frame. This bedroom is quite narrow, although quiet long and comfortable. In the room is a chest of drawers and an armchair. The window looks out onto pretty views of the Chianti.
From the landing area with the bathrooms the master bedroom is accessed up 7 steps. This spacious and airy room has a high, large double bed and very high ceilings. To one side is a big wardrobe and below the window is a two-seater sofa. From the window there are fantastic views of the Tuscan hills.
The second twin room is in the highest part of the villa. It has a pitched oak and terracotta ceiling, the lowest part is approximately 2 meters high. The room is furnished with an armchair and chest of drawers with built-in wardrobe. From the window there are great views of the Chianti and down to the pool.

There is no door separating the hall and the twin bedroom on the first floor.

Pool Info

Across a small track, down a slope and down 25 wide stone steps, the pool is almost completely isolated from the rest of the house. It’s perfectly positioned to admire the impressive views over the hills and vineyards, even while swimming in the crystal clear water. A nearby terrace and barbeque mean you can cook and eat freshly prepared food by the pool. The pool itself is 1.5 metres deep and its perimeter measures 13 metres by 7 metres. It’s open from May to September (weather permitting) and is cleaned by a well-maintained chlorine system. There is also a purpose-built WC close by.

Large and well furnished villa. Very quiet location (which was just what we needed) but well positioned for Siena and many hill town visits.
Excellent pool with great views although a short walk from the house.
Only real downside was the wifi, which was practically useless - there was a superior service on the 2 bars on my phone's 3G connection
Local attractions Excellent restaurant about 10 mins in Lecchi in Chianti. Radda In Chianti and Castellina in Chianti nearest towns and both worth a visit. Further afield (although easy day trips) Florence, Siena, Montepulciano, Cortona and San Gimignano all worth visiting

OWNER COMMENT: Thank you for your feedback. Regarding the Wifi being slow, we sent an engineer to check and as a result we have upgraded the router with a built in amplifier which has improved the reception and response.

The owner appreciated the feedback and have now arranged for extra pool cleaning when the storms arise.
17.08.2015
We are sorry to hear the cleaning was not to your satisfaction. The property management would have acted immediately if they were aware at the time. The exterior lighting was checked and there was one bulb that needed replacing. The pool is cleaned every Saturday. There was bad weather on this particular week which may have caused the pool no to be to standard. Again, the property management team would have come to correct this immediately, had they known.

beautiful surroundings, fully equipped kitchen with everything you could think of. Wonderful villa set on essentially 4 levels so had enough space for a big family. Lots of dining areas.
Very steep slope down to the pool. We knew about this beforehand but it's is VERY steep.

Showers leaked somewhat
Local attractions Not a lot around which is perfect if you want to get away from it all. Siena nearby is lovely for a day out. As was small town of Radda in Chianti. Spectacular views on the way there and in the town itself.
