A peaceful private villa overlooking rolling hills and vineyards, nestled on the edge of an authentic Tuscan hamlet. With unique interior designs, a private pool and just a short drive from the quaint village of Lecchi in Chianti, Adine a villa full of character and comfort, perfect for a large family or a group of up to eight people.
The pool is surrounded by sunloungers and parasols. Even if you don’t feel like going for a swim, it’s a perfect place to read in the shade or soak up the sun. From this position you can see across the rolling hills of Chianti, along with the vineyards, olive groves and forests that spread across them. There is also a conveniently placed WC nearby. The pool itself measures 13 by 7 metres, with a depth of 1.5 metres.
Next to the pool is a terrace area, with a classic-style wooden picnic bench, parasol and barbeque for al fresco cooking and dining. It’s hard to imagine a more beautiful scene to eat together. Another terrace is situated in a loggia beside the house, complete with an extra-large table and eight wrought iron dining chairs. This area is sheltered by a sloping roof with exposed wood ceiling beams, and also boasts a barbeque, a comfortable angled sofa and a fire-bowl.
Ground Floor

We enter the villa through a pair of wooden double doors and into a spacious dining room with vaulted terracotta ceilings and a large table big enough to seat twelve people. Through an archway, you’ll find a plush living room area with ample seating, an open fireplace and a flat-screen TV with satellite reception. Throughout these two areas are a series of framed pictures on the wall, each in the style of traditional Tuscan art. Down a series of stone steps from the living room is a second dining area with a warm and homely atmosphere. Much like the dining room a few steps above it, it has a large wooden table and chairs, and is joined to a lounge area via a stone archway. There is also a TV here, a decorative fireplace and a grand arched French window, offering more spectacular views of the surrounding countryside. The kitchen is just round the corner, decorated in wood and white marble. There’s lots of room for preparation and storage, as well as a small marble-topped breakfast table.
First Floor

The master bedroom has a magnificent stately double bed on an ornately carved wooden frame. One wall is occupied by an expansive wooden wardrobe, while the others are decorated with framed paintings and pictures. A handsome chest of drawers faces the wardrobe on the opposite side and a magnificent rug lies at the foot of the bed. The second double bedroom is smaller, but brightly lit, with a wrought-iron bedframe, white walls hung with framed paintings, and a comfortable armchair in the corner. The first twin room is very spacious. As well as the two single beds, there is a double wardrobe, and a pair of double doors which lead out into the garden via a set of stairs. On the first floor landing there are two bathrooms, one with a free-standing bath and hand-held shower, the other with a shower unit surrounded by crystal doors.
Second Floor

The final bedroom is in the attic. Two large single beds on wrought iron frames are set beside a window, providing an ideal vantage point to admire the surrounding views. These beds can be converted into a double. This brightly lit room is topped by an arched ceiling with exposed wooden beams, and has a comfy winged armchair facing the two beds.
Notes

2 double rooms and 2 twin rooms.
Double beds cannot be converted into twins or vice versa, except for the twin beds on the second floor.

There is no door separating the hall and the twin bedroom on the first floor.
Our Thoughts

One of the very first villas added to our books, we were immediately struck by Adine’s charm, character and comfortable spaces. There are so many unusual and attractive designs here, like the zig-zagged terracotta ceilings in the lounge, and the beautifully arranged loggia. The loggia particularly impressed us. We can hardly think of anywhere better to enjoy the warm haze of a Tuscan summer evening. The view really is astounding here too. The pool is not only so private that it hides even the villa itself from view, but it provides the ideal place to take in the idyllic sights of the vineyards and forests that line the surrounding hills. Adine is the best of two worlds: a huge amount of space, while still carrying a homely and cosy atmosphere.

Pool Info

Across a small track, down a slope and down 25 wide stone steps, the pool is almost completely isolated from the rest of the house. It’s perfectly positioned to admire the impressive views over the hills and vineyards, even while swimming in the crystal clear water. A nearby terrace and barbeque mean you can cook and eat freshly prepared food by the pool. The pool itself is 1.5 metres deep and its perimeter measures 13 metres by 7 metres. It’s open from May to September (weather permitting) and is cleaned by a well-maintained chlorine system.

Large and well furnished villa. Very quiet location (which was just what we needed) but well positioned for Siena and many hill town visits.
Excellent pool with great views although a short walk from the house.
Only real downside was the wifi, which was practically useless - there was a superior service on the 2 bars on my phone's 3G connection
Local attractions Excellent restaurant about 10 mins in Lecchi in Chianti. Radda In Chianti and Castellina in Chianti nearest towns and both worth a visit. Further afield (although easy day trips) Florence, Siena, Montepulciano, Cortona and San Gimignano all worth visiting

OWNER COMMENT: Thank you for your feedback. Regarding the Wifi being slow, we sent an engineer to check and as a result we have upgraded the router with a built in amplifier which has improved the reception and response.

The owner appreciated the feedback and have now arranged for extra pool cleaning when the storms arise.
17.08.2015
We are sorry to hear the cleaning was not to your satisfaction. The property management would have acted immediately if they were aware at the time. The exterior lighting was checked and there was one bulb that needed replacing. The pool is cleaned every Saturday. There was bad weather on this particular week which may have caused the pool no to be to standard. Again, the property management team would have come to correct this immediately, had they known.

beautiful surroundings, fully equipped kitchen with everything you could think of. Wonderful villa set on essentially 4 levels so had enough space for a big family. Lots of dining areas.
Very steep slope down to the pool. We knew about this beforehand but it's is VERY steep.

Showers leaked somewhat
Local attractions Not a lot around which is perfect if you want to get away from it all. Siena nearby is lovely for a day out. As was small town of Radda in Chianti. Spectacular views on the way there and in the town itself.
