Casa Leonardo, Vinci - Florence

3 bedrooms 2 bathrooms 5 people Private Pool 4,5 - Excellent - Excellent 4,5

Perched on the brow of a hill, with superb views across the valley, this handsome semi-detached Tuscan villa, with its L-shaped terrace shaded by a pretty pantiled roof, is an attractive and relaxing choice for a family or a few friends travelling together. Close to the town of Vinci, birthplace of Leonardo da Vinci, and an easy day trip to Florence, it’s also the perfect base for art and history buffs.

But the attractive stone and brick villa doesn’t just look good, it offers comfortable lodgings, too, inside and out. As well as the terrace, there’s a swathe of lawn and a large raised patio offering front-row views of the surrounding countryside. Step through the large glass doors into the spacious lounge-diner and you’ll discover a cool escape from the heat – or a cosy place to cuddle up round the open fireplace. Traditional wood beams and terracotta tiles on the floors and ceilings continue the rustic Tuscan theme, while the sleek kitchen and an indulgent Jacuzzi corner bath add desirable modern touches.

Our Thoughts
If you daydream about sitting back with a glass of wine and taking in the scenery, this is the place for you. Whether you choose to relax on the terrace, by the pool or on the patio, you’re guaranteed wonderful views at this hillside villa. We really like the way old and new play a part in the interior design, balancing traditional terracotta and wood features with a snazzy modern kitchen. But the highlight of this house is the huge terrace – what a lovely asset and one you are bound to make full use of during your stay.

Three bedrooms. Two bathrooms. Some light industrial warehouses are visible at the bottom of the hill but they do not detract from the overall views from the villa.

The pool is across the lawn and offers wide open views of the surrounding countryside. It is partly fenced and has a paved surround. There is also a separate raised terracotta patio, furnished with deckchairs and a table and chairs, and mostly shaded by a supersize parasol. The water is accessed via metal steps and there is a shower area.
The pool is 8.5x3 metres and 1.2 metres deep. It is open from May to October, weather permitting.

Très belle maison très bien située et très bien entretenue ....dommage que pour cette qualité de maison il n'y ait pas de climatisation !

Autre petit point : il manque des bols et des plats pour faire par exemple des gâteaux

Thank you for your feedback. There was an extreme heatwave over the last few weeks which did bring some uncomfortable temperatures. This particular villa does not have air conditioning in its listing. The owner will add some more cake tins etc...
