    Located in the centre of Monteriggioni. It has been running for over 40 years and has an excellent reputation. Cars are not allowed inside the walls, but there is an upper car park which avoids a long hike up the hill.  The village is more picturesquely viewed from outside the walls!

    Below the town of Monteriggioni, within walking distance, along the via Francigena route. Easy access to the main road to Siena. Excellent location for a coffee with cake, quick sandwich at lunch or afternoon snack. But also good for a more leisurely meals of traditional Tuscan food. It's small inside but has a large covered terrace for dining outside during the warmer months. Very popular also with the locals, make sure you book for evening meals.

    On the scenic route towards Siena from Monteriggioni. A family run osteria which is open only for breakfast, lunch and afternoon snacks. Simple, traditional Tuscan meals. They also have a selection of excellent local products for sandwiches or light snacks. Very popular with the locals, especially on the weekends. All desserts home made. Very reasonable prices.

    A café-trattoria which makes its own pastries. Not to be missed are the jam tarts. Open from 6am for breakfast, until 21. It makes good, and very well priced pizza for lunch and early dinner. At lunch it's also possible to have simple pasta dishes. A popular place with the locals, especially for lunch due to the very good prices and quality.
