Vegetarian/Vegan restaurant guide
Most of the people that arrive in Tuscany expect to find wild boar stew, T-bone Fiorentina steak and other meat and game dishes. However most of the traditional local recipes are what is considered a 'poor man's cuisine' and therefore meat free but very tasty, with a large amout of beans and vegetables being used. Ribollita, panzanella, pici cacio e pepe and fagioli all’uccelletto are probably the most famous.
