Nestled amongst the indigenous plants of the Mediterranean this pretty Umbrian villa provides a prefect position to explore Perugia and the surrounding Umbrian towns and villages. The cottage is attached to the owners villa above, however each has its own entrance at opposite ends of the building.

train station 15km away in the large town of Arezzo.

Bellaluce is a traditional stone built house, which was completely renovated in 2003. The makeover has been done in a very sympathetic manner, keeping many of the original features, yet bringing the property up to date and providing all the expected modern comforts. The original farmhouse was built on this plot around 1000 AD, although the current house is much later. It was also at one time a Benedictine Monastry which is why there is the church attached to one side of the building. The area itself has been inhabited for far longer than that, it was during the renovation work that a Roman cistern was found.

Arezzo is a town in the Tuscan province, situated on a hillside that is 296 meters above the sea level, between Casentino, Valdichiana and Valdarno.
Archaeological remains are evidence of its existence since VI century. The town remained important during Roman times. Its ceramics in red coral with decorations in relief were famous and copied all over the Empire during the first Imperial period. Arezzo then was as famous as it is now for its goldsmiths.
