Villa Mina is a grand house in a superb quiet countryside location sitting on the Chianti hills in a prominent position overlooking Florence with beautiful perfectly maintained private gardens surrounding the house.
Villa Mina is finished to a high standard, its Italian antiques blend with the terracotta floors and wood-beamed ceilings throughout, and there is a well-fitted kitchen, including large fridge with freezer and dishwasher, and an elegant dining room with comfortable lounge areas.
The mature private gardens are partly shaded by hundred-year-old umbrella pines and decorated with fruit and flowers, the private swimming pool with loungers offers wonderful views.
The caretakers live in an independent apartment and will offer housemaid service.
Ground Floor
The entrance hall with bathroom leads to a kitchen dining room with TV on one side and a lounge with a fire place and TV to the other side. Through the dining room there is a second lounge with a fire place. The dining room table can seat up to 14 people.
First floor
To one side there is a hall with two bedrooms and one bathroom; the other side is identical, with two bedrooms and one bathroom. On either side of the small landing there is a twin and a double. There are hairdryers available in the villa.
Second Floor
On one side of this floor there is a large double bedroom with en-suite bathroom. To the other side there is a double, a twin and a single bedroom and a bathroom and the entrance to the two-storey tower.
This beautiful villa is situated ideally for visiting Florence.
The villa is beautifully furnished and is completely private.
A few minutes drive away, in Lastra a Signa, there is a station which has excellent connections to the centre of Florence, an ideal way to avoid the hassle of driving and parking in Florence.

The accomodation, Villa Mina, was excellent. We especially enjoyed meeting the owners' daughter. Although the rooms were beautifully decorated and situated, we spent little time inside except for the preparation of meals and sleep. The views and garden were beautiful. It was perfect for our needs, a lovely villa with privacy, and with unobtrusive but terrific caretakers. The pool was a big plus, a great place to unwind after a busy day of sightseeing. The Ipercoop served our needs for food, and we felt quite at home despite some language difficulties. It was nice to know we could call Sean or his lovely wife for advice.
I would emphasize the convenience of the train station, a really efficient way to get into Florence instead of driving. I would also encourage renters to have a cell phone as it served us well to have contact in certain situations.
To-Tuscany was recommended by another couple who had used the service, and I would be unreserved in my praise for the web site and for the company.
It was everything I planned for and I know my friends would say the same. I could not have asked for more. Everyday offered beautiful weather, and we all felt free to sightsee or relax. It was filled with highlights.... many different towns and cities... all offered something special. I am most grateful for the opportunity.
