It’s a great choice for two couples holidaying together, with its free-flowing area inside for relaxing, cooking and dining, and two cosy doubles upstairs. Typical Tuscan touches, such as the tiled-and beamed-ceilings, make it very easy on the eye, too. Outside, the terrace and shaded pergola will beckon for sunny breakfasts or a tipple at sundown.

The location near Panzano puts Chianti’s markets and vineyards on your doorstep so take the chance to taste the local flavours – olive oil as well as wine. Florence and Siena are recommendable day trips easily ticked off your sightseeing list from here. Meanwhile, walking, cycling (for the seriously fit), golf and, even hot-air ballooning, are among the active pursuits on offer nearby. But your time here is likely to mainly revolve in and around the private pool – imagine lingering on a lounger by its cooling waters, taking in the views.

The nearest town is Panzano in Chianti, 5km away. This is one of the main Chianti towns. It has all amenities, which include a small supermarket, grocery shop, bank, post office, butcher, pharmacy and several other shops. There is also a selection of bars/cafés and restaurants. A must try is the Cecchini butcher who also provides meals, booking is advised during the summer. The nearest petrol station is in Radda in Chianti, about 8km away.
About 700metres from the property is a restaurant, Le Panzanelle.
