Villa Soleluna is traditionally built from hand carved Tuscan stone nestling amongst other similar properties. This one bedroomed ground floor apartment with its own private garden is ideal for couples wanting a relaxing holiday.
The property has the typical Tuscan terracotta tiled floors and beamed ceilings throughout. The lounge diner is a very bright room with one wall entirely made of floor to ceiling glass windows with a glass door out to the garden. This is reflective glass, which allows the light to flood into the room without the interior being seen.
The lounge/diner has a traditional wooden table and chairs, a sofa, TV and an open fireplace in one corner. The small kitchenette is off to one side, and has an oven with separate gas hobs, fridge with freezer section and filter coffee maker.
A doorway to the right leads into a small lobby area where doors open to the bathroom and the bedroom. This is also where the main entrance door is. The bathroom has a shower, basin and WC. This is also where the washing machine is located. The bedroom has an exposed brickwork arch over the antique style wrought iron painted double bed.
Outside the terrace is furnished with table, chairs and sun umbrella. The private garden is surrounded by hedge and there are brightly planted terracotta pots dotted about.
Guests have use of a large communal brick built barbeque located nearby.
Traditional Tuscan ground floor apartment with its own private garden is ideal for couples planning a relaxing holiday.

Partena is a fully restored villa perched on the top of a hill of the Elsa valley providing it with fantastic views of the field and wood covered valley below. The hamlet is composed of a total of 18 houses, most of which are owned by locals who use them mainly as a country villa.
There is a large fenced pool on one side of the hamlet. The pool is shared by the residents of the hamlet and each has his own sunbeds. At the pool area there is a stone barbeque for use by all residents.
Partena is ideally positioned in central Tuscany just 6km from the town Colle Val d'Elsa which is famous for its crystal works. Also within easy driving distance are Siena, Florence, San Gimignano, Volterra, Casole d'Elsa and the famous San Galgano Abbey.
Due to its position on the hill the paths from the parking area and those within the hamlet are all sloped. Attached to Partena are some villas which are not part of the hamlet and therefore do not have access to the pool.
Pool Info
The fenced pool is located to one side of the hamlet. It is surrounded by shrubs and trees providing shade in part of the pool area throughout the day. Near the pool there is a stone communal barbeque. The area is a short distance away from the hamlet and therefore is wonderfully quiet.
There are several umbrellas around the pool to provide shade from the hot Tuscan sun. Each villa at Partena has its own sunbeds at the pool.
The pool is 15x5 meters and 1.5 to 2.3 meters deep. It is open from June to September.
Nearest town
The nearest town is Colle Val d'Elsa which is 6km away. In this town there is a selection of shops and restaurants and other amenities. The town is well known for its crystal works.

Die Beschreibung im Internet entspricht genau dem, was wir vorgefunden haben. Eine sehr schöne Wohnung mit einem hervorragenden Ausblick. Obwohl wir uns reichlich verspätet haben, klappte die Schlüsselübergabe perfekt. Alles war sauber und ordentlich.
Die Gartenmöblierung war durch die sehr spartanischen Polster etwas unbequem. Gleiches gilt für die im Wohnzimmer vorhandene Umbauliege. Dadurch war es leider nicht möglich, entspannt und bequem ein Buch zu lesen. Der vorhandene Fernseher hatte ausschließlich italienische Programme. Es gab auch kein Radio.

Our accommodation, which cost less than £800 for the week, is in a converted stone farmhouse next to a 12th Century Franciscan chapel. There is a pergola shaded by vines round the back here we quickly settle into a rhythm of eating long pasta suppers while the shadows lengthen.
