Sestuccia

Sestuccia is a single floor house located a few kilometres from Gaiole in Chianti. It is nestled in a perfectly maintained garden. It is as part of a country house which is occupied by the owners.
The property is completely fenced and surrounded by a pretty forest and vineyard. On a higher level from Sestuccio there is a barbeque and the pool which is shared with the owners. To one end of the pool is a room with a sauna and Turkish bath.
The villa Sestuccia is below the main house where the owners stay. It has a private terrace furnished with a wooden table and chairs. There is morning sun on the terrace. The entire villa has terracotta floors and wooden beams on the ceiling.
Inside there is a large, bright room which has billiards table, furnished with several cues and balls. To one side is a wooden table where there is a small laptop with Internet connection. To the other side, below a pretty terracotta arch there is a double sofa.
Passing under the arch there is the spacious kitchen with dining area. The kitchen unit runs along one wall and is fully fitted with gas hobs, oven, fridge with freezer. On another wall is a large fireplace. The dining table in the middle of the room can seat comfortably up to 8 people. From this room there are stairs that lead to the owners villa, however the door remains locked.
To the back of the villa is the sleeping area, where there is a big bathroom with hydro-massage bath and handheld shower. The spacious bedroom is furnished with a double iron bed and a large wooden wardrobe. Completing this villa is a laundry room which is shared with the owner.
The owners of the villa are a lovely friendly family (3 people) who will be available should you require any assistance or information. They may occasionally make use of the swimming pool.
The entire property is run with renewable energy based on solar panels. There is a biological vegetable garden that guests can use.

The pool is situated a short distance away from the villa. It is shared with the owners and their family. This sunny area of the large garden is a perfect place to relax after a day out sightseeing.
Next to the pool is a wellness centre with sauna and Turkish bath.
The pool is 11x5.5 metres and 1.5 to 2 metres deep. The pool is always open.

Lekkere pizzeria in Gaiole in Chianti!
Absolute toppers als daguitstappen zijn Siena maar ook het heel gezellige San Gimignano!

What was your overall impression of the accommodation? The accomodation was excellent, in particular the owners brilliant pool. It was a shame my Italian wasn't good enough to converse with our excellent host Luciano and his family, however he made our stay as comfortable as possible and I would definitely recommend his lovely property.

What were the highlights of your stay? first time in Tuscany and loved it, we got engaged after a romantic marrage proposal in Florence by the Ponte Vecchio
50th birthday celebrations and fantastic food at cerullo
enjoyed our cooking lesson with Toscana Mia (booked from a link on your website)
What was your overall impression of the accommodation? lovely standard of decor, spacious and beautiful facilities. good shower, whirlpool bath, firm bed, lovely homely kitchen, gorgeous quiet location and great views nice swimming pool, sauna and a nice welcome from the owner who was warm and generous despite not speaking english. his daughter (who did speak english) and his family were kind and attentive to our needs / queries, particularly when the electrics failed one evening.
Did you have any unpleasant surprises during your stay with us? mentioned the electrics failed (very quickly resolved); lights quite low wattage for a place with little natural light, but this was probably environmentally friendly and I bet in summer you'd be glad of the cool
Do you have any other comments regarding the accommodation or service? delightful place, warm and generous owner, lovely location and great place for exploring the real tuscany

I like To Tuscany, partly because it has a tremendous range of villas, and partly because (unlike many companies) it has an excellent website that provides what you really want when choosing a villa.

Our accommodation, which cost less than £800 for the week, is in a converted stone farmhouse next to a 12th Century Franciscan chapel. There is a pergola shaded by vines round the back here we quickly settle into a rhythm of eating long pasta suppers while the shadows lengthen.
