Steeped in history and elegance, Castellare de Sernigi is a majestic 15th-century villa set south of Florence in the beautiful Chianti countryside. This impressive property combines the charm of a historic stone residence with modern comfort and is an ideal choice for discerning guests seeking both relaxation and style.

The nearest town, Tavarnelle Val di Pesa, is about 2 km away and offers a Coop supermarket, small shops and restaurants. The lovely medieval town of San Casciano is also nearby and invites visitors to stroll and enjoy its cafés and restaurants. Wine lovers can visit the renowned Marchesi Antinori winery, just ten minutes away by car, where tastings and lunch at the Rinuccio 1180 restaurant can be enjoyed on a terrace overlooking the vineyards. Florence, San Gimignano, Volterra and Siena are perfect for memorable day trips.

Peacefully located in the countryside, Castellare de Sernigi forms part of a small hamlet and is built from natural stone. At the back, a large terrace shaded by a pergola is furnished with sofas and coffee tables overlooking olive groves adorned with modern sculptures. The pool lies among the same olive trees. In a small wooded area of the estate, there is an open-air theatre where the owners host concerts and performances in summer. At the front, a secluded courtyard features a large dining table under a pergola and a separate sitting area.

Inside, the villa feels bright and spacious. Original features such as terracotta floors, fireplaces and beamed ceilings have been preserved. Modern art and mainly contemporary furniture, complemented by selected antiques, create a welcoming atmosphere.

A complimentary welcome dinner is offered by the owners, and guests may use the cellar stocked with the estate’s wine and olive oil, paying only for what they consume. Twice-weekly cleaning and towel changes on Tuesdays and Thursdays are included.
