Once a wine and olive oil producing estate, Montebuoni's original stone buildings have been restored into cottages and apartments that recreate the feeling of an authentic Tuscan hamlet. Situated along the crest of its own gently rolling hill, Montebuoni has wonderful, picture postcard views that delight the eye in all directions. This place unwinds you in the beauty of it’s natural setting.
While taking your front row seat to view the sunset over Chianti Classico's most prestigious vineyards you can plan a day trip to Siena, Florence and San Gimignano or a walk to the nearby village of Lecchi in Chianti to soak up your new way of life. If you're feeling more energetic, you may take time out for an early morning run, swim or bike ride. Private to the residence of this resort there is a swimming pool, a childrens pool and astro-turf tennis court and it is car free with parking at the entrance.
The quaint village of Lecchi in Chianti is 4km driving distance from Montebuoni. However it is also possible to walk the 1.5km to Lecchi via a well maintained, hilly path. Also within walking distance is the village San Sano. The popular Chianti town Radda in Chianti is only a 15 minute drive away.

Es war wieder schön, abgesehen von 2 Wochen Gluthitze mit 38° C, ungewöhnlich Ende Juni/ Anfang Juli. Das war so nicht geplant und nicht empfehlenswert. Ansonsten ist Montebuoni als Ganzes ein Traum. Wer den absolut ruhigen Urlaub in aller Privatsphäre sucht, ist hier richtig. Die Anlage ist top gepflegt, ebenso wie das große Schwimmbad im Grünen. Das Betreuungsteam lässt keine Wünsche offen, ist mit der für jeden Gast eingerichteten WhatsApp- Gruppe jederzeit erreichbar. Wir standen aufgrund eines Stromausfalls (defekte Terrassenleuchte) im Dunkeln. Ferngesteuert konnten wir das Problem lösen. Die neue Lampe wurde besorgt. Ebenso wurden die nicht funktionstüchtigen Kaffeemaschinen zeitnahe ersetzt. Solche Probleme sind die Ausnahme. Die Kontakte mit dem Büro sind immer eine Freude und Bereicherung des Urlaubsalltags. Olivenöl, Honig und die Eier von allerhand Federvieh können wir dort frisch erstehen. Es gibt einen morgendlichen Brötchenservice, Ausflugstipps und auf jede Frage eine Antwort.
Wer die etwas beschwerliche Anreise und die etwas längere Fahrt zum nächsten gut sortierten Supermarkt nicht scheut wird reich belohnt.
Im letzten Jahr hatte ich Rückenprobleme aufgrund der Matratzen, die daraufhin offensichtlich ausgetauscht wurden. In diesem Jahr gab es keine Probleme mehr. Überhaupt ist La Vigna für uns das ideale Haus, wunderbar eingerichtet und gut ausgestattet. Wir würden uns noch ein Paar Topflappen, ein Salatbesteck, Eierbecher und einen gut funktionierenden Korkenzieher wünschen sowie einen Satz Tischsets vor allem für draußen.
Aber das ist marginal angesichts des fantastischen Gesamtpaketes an freundlicher Zuwendung, erholsamer Ruhe und toller Landschaft.
Herzlichen Dank an die wirklich superfreundlichen und engagierten Team-Mitarbeiterinnen, die Herz und Seele der Anlage verkörpern!
In Lecchi ist Paolo legendär mit seinem kleinen Geschäft und angeschlossener Weinbar. Dort abends einen Aperol zu schlürfen und das Dorfleben zu beobachten ist immer wieder schön. Wenige Schritte entfernt bietet das Restaurant Malborghetto gehobene Küche in schönem Ambiente, beides absolut empfehlenswert.
