Built from hand carved Tuscan stone, this traditionally built villa has its own gardens with views over the surrounding countryside. Set in the heart of the Chianti region only 5km from the nearest town and only 25km from Siena.
The pool is located in the grounds at the rear of the house and is heated by way of solar panels. It is also surrounded by mature hedging for privacy. The paved surround is furnished with a selection of sun loungers, umbrellas tables and chairs. The covered gazebo in one corner has a small dining table and chairs, and is perfect for escaping the heat of the day.
The property is surrounded by mature hedging for privacy and has iron entrance gates with a gravel driveway which has space for parking. The beautiful well kept gardens are planted with mature trees and shrubs and there are planted terracotta pots dotted around.
There are wonderful views from the garden over the surrounding countryside. The town of Radda in Chianti is only 5km away, and here you will find a supermarket, pharmacy, bakery, greengrocers and a selection of restaurants.
The villa has a traditional Tuscan feel to it, with terracotta tiled floors and tiled and beamed ceilings throughout. The lovely large fitted kitchen is decorated in a rustic country style with oven, gas hob, dishwasher, microwave oven, fridge and washing machine.
There is a large decorative fireplace in one corner, with a door to the right which leads into the garden. There is a dresser along one wall and a large wooden dining table with matching chairs. A brick archway leads into the hall, from which all parts of the house are reached.
To the right are the stairs to the first floor where there are two bedrooms. Both bedrooms are comfortably furnished and both have double beds. Each of the two rooms has an ensuite bathroom one with shower, the other has a full size bath with hand held shower.
Downstairs, to the right of the hallway are a further two bedrooms one with double bed the other with twin beds. Both the ground floor bedrooms have floor to ceiling arched windows with doors that open onto a large paved patio area. Next to the twin bedroom is the ground floor bathroom with shower.
To the left off of the hallway is another archway leading into the spacious lounge. This is a very bright room with large windows on three sides. Comfortably furnished with sofas and armchairs, there is a brick built open fireplace a TV and DVD.
On two sides there are floor to ceiling glass doors which open onto the garden. One set opens onto the covered loggia with its large dining table and chairs; this is a lovely spot for dining ‘al fresco’ and from here you have views of the garden, pool area and the Tuscan hillside.
A delightful villa set in lovely grounds within 5km of Radda in Chianti.
This is an ideal property for families or groups of friends wishing to holiday together.

The lovely pool area is set in the garden to the rear of the house. It has a paved surround leading to lawn. There are plenty of loungers and chairs arranged around the poolside. There are internal steps which lead down into the shallow end.
The swimming pool is heated by the use of solar panels. It is rectangular in shape and measures 6 metres by 12 metres, with a depth of 96cm increasing to 2.6 metres at the deepest point. It is open from June to Septembe.
Nearest town
Radda in Chianti and Castellina in Chianti are 5km from the villa. Both are typical Chianti towns with several shops, restaurants and other amenities.

We were very impressed with the spacious gardens, pool and large BBQ area.
There was nothing that we did not like about the villa. The only slight difficulty we experienced was upon collection of the key. The caretaker was very pleasant but did not speak any English. There were a number of forms which clearly we needed to complete all of which were in Italian so it was a little confusing but we managed to get by and complete the process. Perhaps a little information or warning about the key collection process would have been useful.
The villa is equal distance from Radda and Castellina. Both are lovely villages with a number of good restaurants and shops.

This was a beautiful, isolated farmhouse which we loved. We had privacy and the local villages were only 5km away in either direction.
We did have problems with the wi fi connection which was necessary for contact with work. We recognise this was due to the isolated area but warning about the unpredictability would have been useful. There were masses of insects, which again was expected, but we were all bitten despite taking precautions.
We spent time at both Radda and Castellina, both beautiful villages with friendly locals. We were spolit for choice with restaurants, all of which were of high quality.

Was waren die Highlights Ihres Urlaubs? Tägliches Frühstück und Mahlzeiten auf der Terasse vor dem Haus.
Wie war Ihr Gesamteindruck von der Unterbringung? Sehr gut. Das Haus hat genau auf die Bedürfnisse unserer Familie gepasst. Der Garten und der Pool sind sehr gepflegt. Im Haus selbst hätte es ein bisschen sauberer sein können. Im Bad hatte sich schon ziemlich Schimmelpilz gebildet.
Gab es unangenehme Überraschungen? Leider war kein DVD-Rekorder wie angegeben vorhanden. Zum Glück war das Wetter durchgehend gut, daß wir ihn nicht gebraucht haben.

What were the highlights of your holiday? Being so close to Siena, Castellina, Radda, San Gimingnano. Also having such a beautiful villa, being able to spend hours lounging around the pool and relaxing in the villa.
What was your overall impression of the accommodation? the accommodation was perfect size for 8 people and great for families traveling with children. The villa was beautiful and clean, and had everything we needed.

What were the highlights of your holiday? Driving throughout Tuscany seeing the sights and enjoying the food and people were the highlights of our visit. When nearby the villa, we ate at the Castellina restaurants, enjoying the small village feel and delicious food. We stumbled upon a village celebration for children for Easter, we think, involving costumes and court jesters and arts and crafts, which the kids with us got to enjoy as well.
what was your overall impression of the accommodation? The villa is very nice. It matched the description and pictures on your website. It was very clean and well-maintained. The owner and caretaker were very pleasant and helpful, despite the language differences. They were friendly and willing to show all of the contents of the villa and how things worked. They were organized and flexible, willing to meet us on Friday morning instead of Saturday morning to accommodate our travel plans.
Did you have any unpleasant surprises? There were no unpleasant surprises.
Do you have any other comments? We suggest that the owners consider having written directions in English (and other relevant languages), if possible, for how to work the dishwasher, washer, and central heating (maybe the stovetop and oven, too). They did provide written instructions in English for many policies and rules on what to do and not to do in the villa, but the booklet did not specifically contain any appliance instructions. Despite their efforts to instruct us verbally, though, (and our best efforts to understand), we never quite got the dishwasher to work properly. The washer worked fine, although it would have been handy to know in advance how long the process takes, given that it was about two hours and we are accustomed to machines that take 30 minutes to wash in the States. The heating system really cooked the second floor while we froze on the first floor. We're sure there was something that we didn't quite have set properly, and written instructions addressing the proper way to set the system would help. Also, the owner may want to lay in the second upstairs bedroom at night and listen for the "clicking" sound. We never saw an insect, although maybe there is something in the roof. We did not determine the source of the sound, although it occurred every night.

We have just stayed at this villa a family get together 12th-19th July. All I can say is it was fantastic, it beat all our expectations. The whole family had a great holiday both at the villa and in the surrounding area. We would just like to thank you all, the cartaker could not speak any English,but got across all we needed to know and was very friendly. The only thing that we would have liked is a few supplies to keep us going for the first day as most of the food shops where closed on the sunday, and as you do not get into the villa till 16.00 we only had time to settle in on the saturday. [ To Tuscany comment: a 'starter pack' service is available to be ordered before arriving through To Tuscany] We look forward to booking through you again soon.

Two small problems our lack of italian made the details of the meter system unavailable, perhaps a note in English would help. I found 5!
Also the fridge themostat seems broken and the oven did not work and the electrical ring on the hob did not function. Minor details. [To Tuscany comment: New appliances have been added since the stay of MRS HONOR]
Perhaps english notes might help. But over all everything functioned well and our host were affable. Your web site is fine people want facts and all the details for our house were excellent. We found the house and locality lovely.

Our accommodation, which cost less than £800 for the week, is in a converted stone farmhouse next to a 12th Century Franciscan chapel. There is a pergola shaded by vines round the back here we quickly settle into a rhythm of eating long pasta suppers while the shadows lengthen.
