Mantegna is a lovely villa situated in the centre of the hamlet Galenda. The villa is part of an ancient property, well restored preserving the original features. It combines the traditional atmosphere of a typical Tuscan cottage with the comforts of a modern home. The villa has been renovated with care and attention and it is furnished with good taste. It has external original stonewalls and internal high ceilings of terra cotta tiles and wooden beams distinctive of the typical Tuscan style.
Mantegna has a terrace furnished with a table, 4 chairs and an umbrella for dining al fresco during the warm Tuscan summers. The terrace overlooks the pretty view of the central grassy piazza of the hamlet. This is the ideal holiday-home to enjoy sightseeing the Chianti and all the main famous Tuscan towns such as Siena, Florence, San Gimignano within easy reach.
The villa is entered from the private furnished terrace into the lounge area where there is a comfortable sofa bed and two armchairs. There is a writing desk immediately at the entrance of the living room. Also in this room there is a flat screened TV on the wall.
The lounge, through an arch, gives access to a modern kitchen fully equipped with gas hobs, dishwasher, fridge/freezer and oven. The kitchen also has a table with four chairs for indoor dining.
A couple of steps away from the kitchen is a pretty spacious double bedroom that is close to the bathroom with shower.
On the other side of the lounge there is another arch leading to a second double bedroom. This bedroom has a large window, which provides a lot of light and a beautiful view towards the terrace and the central area of the hamlet. Across the hall from the bedroom there is a large bathroom with shower and hydro massage tub.
Mantegna is well positioned to visit the Chianti. The main famous Tuscan towns are within easy reach.
