There is an oval swimming pool located on one side of the property. It has excellent views of the surrounding hills and valleys dotted with prestigious villas and quaint towns.
Poderone lays in a beautiful position with excellent views of the rolling Tuscan hills and valleys around. There is free parking for all the guests of the hamlet within the property and there are no unpaved roads on the way to the location.
Hamlet Poderone is the perfect place from which to explore both the mountains and seaside. The coast offers gentle beaches, natural parks, fishing villages, resort towns all facing the clear waters of the Gulf of Argentario in the Mediterranean sea. The famous hot springs of Saturnia are thirty minute's drive away.
Poderone is the ideal starting point for trips to the sea, Monte Amiata, the Southern wine country and the 'Tufo triangle' towns Pitigliano, Sovana and Sorano, all within a fifty-minute drive.
The Castello di Triana which can be seen from the hamlet is 6kms from the town of Roccalbegna. It sits on a rocky promontory and is enclosed by medieval stone walls, which are still in remarkably good condition. Outside the walls is the church of San Bernardino alla Triana. The castle is approxiamately 1km from the hamlet, so it is possible to walk there.
At Monte Amiata it is possible to go skiing during the winter and walking during summer.
