Set in the heart of the Chianti Classico with a stunning view of Siena in the distance Valliole will leave you with lasting memories of Tuscany. This high quality 17 century villa has been lovingly restored into a comfortable home with a beautiful pool.
Valliole, surrounded by well-maintained gardens, sits at the top of the working vineyards of Castello di Ama. The large pool terrace has sun lays and benches to relax and enjoy the fantastic views of the Chianti hills and Siena beyond. By the pool there is a shower and WC, pool towels are provided.
The property consists of a main house of 160sqm and a small annex of 30sqm. The main house has a large fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher, gas hobs, fridge/freezer, oven and microwave. To one side of the kitchen there is a large dining room with a table that seats 12 people.
The dining room leads you into a large lounge where there are comfortable sofas and a wood-burning stove in one corner. There is a TV with satellite, DVD and stereo with CD player.
Both the dining room and the lounge lead out onto one of the many furnished terraces. This 30sqm terrace faces south and enjoys wonderful views of rolling hills covered in vineyards, olive groves and oak forest and provides a breathtaking position to dine al fresco. In the distance you can see Siena.
On the first floor of the main house there is a bedroom with twin beds with en-suite bathroom with shower. There is a double bedroom with an open plan en-suite bathroom and separate WC. In the bathroom there is a bath with shower.
On this floor there is the master bedroom which has a king size bed, across the hall is the main bathroom with jacuzzi bath, shower and a double sink basin. There is also a small library with reading corner and TV.
The annex has a small cooking area with fridge, gas hobs and sink. The living area has a TV and stereo with CD player. Up a few steps there is a bedroom with queen size bed and a bathroom with shower. The annex has its own furnished terrace.
On the property there is a large stand alone covered terrace furnished with comfortable chairs and in one corner there is a large wooden dining table with benches. To one side there is a BBQ and sink. By the main terrace there is a laundry room with washing machine.
All the bedrooms have ceiling fans.
In the winter the house is heated with floor heating and radiators.
There are 5 covered parking places.
A short walk way there is a small typical Tuscan village.
The owner requests no pets
Washing facilities: pre-sorted washing done by cleaner on request only Monday and Wednesday mornings free of charge. Hanging and ironing are your responsibility

At a lower level than the house there is a large pool surrounded by sunbeds and ideal for relaxing after a day of sightseeing. From the pool there are wonderful views of the vineyards and the Chianti hills. In the distance Siena is visible
Next to the pool there is a shower and WC. The pool is 12x6 meters and 1.40 deep with roman steps. It is open from Easter to October.
Nearest town
Valliole is located 2km from Lecchi in Chianti, although the pages say nearest town Lecchi in Chianti is a small village but there is a grocery store with provisions counter, a cafe bar which is open from Easter to October and a restaurant open all year round.
Within walking distance of Hamlet Valliole is also the village San Sano. The Chianti town, Radda in Chianti is 15 minutes drive away.

Wie war Ihr Gesamteindruck von der Unterbringung? Das schönste, bestausgestattete Haus in der schönsten Lage, die man sich nur wünschen kann. Besser geht wirklich nicht. Das I-Tüpfelchen war der vollständige Gemüse- und Kräutergarten. Es war alles da, was man zum Geniessen und Wohlfühlen braucht. Von der Jura-Kaffeemaschine bis zur Grillkohle samt Anzünder. Vom Mückenstecker bis zur Profiküche, von der großen CD-Sammlung bis zu den vielen Aufmerksamkeiten und Kleinigkeiten, die das Leben und Kochen in diesem schönen Haus zur unbeschwerten Freude werden liessen. Ein übervollständig und sehr hochwertig ausgestatteter Haushalt mit stilvoller und exklusiver Architektur. Es fehlt wirklich nichts! Und für italienische Verhältnisse noch ein Zuckerle - mit guten Matratzen. Auch der freundliche Service der Hausdame, die zweimal pro Woche zum Wäschewechsel, war zudem sehr angenehm.

What were the highlights of your holiday? Meeting up with all our friends and family and all the wonderful restaurants.
What was your overall impression of the accommodation? Overall, the accommodation was very good. The windows were to have screens and most did but there was at least one that did not. Better written instructions for the appliances would help. Also, there were several coffee makers but, I believe, only one was in working order.
Did you have any unpleasant surprises during your stay with us? Not really.
Do you have any other comments regarding the accommodation or service? Overall, we were very pleased. My main suggestion is that the property managers and owners go over everything at Valliole and fix little things. One small example, the door to the annex (copola?) had to be closed very hard to stay shut and the handle had come loose. There are many things like that at Valliole---not big things but a number of small issues that could be improved.

What were the highlights of your holiday? The highlights were the day trips to the small towns in in Tuscany. We especially enjoyed Siena and Montalcino. We also loved spending time at the villa. We cooked several meals there, and enjoyed local wine and the gorgeous scenery all around us.

Did you have any unpleasant surprises? The front gate malfunctioned the first day, but it was repaired immediately the next morning. Also, we had requested firewood for the outdoor fireplace, but it was not provided. Finally, I would recommend a guide book for operating the oven! It was very complicated.
Do you have any other comments? We had a very positive experience, and would strongly recommend to tuscany to our friends and relatives. Thank you for a memorable experience. We plan to return.

What did we like about your service.
I found it excellent. You kept me well informed on our booking and l never had to give it a moments thought prior to our departure. You e-mails had all the information we required and there was never a need to seek further information. 10 out of 10!
What was our overall impression of the accommodation.
It was beyond our expectations. You can only see so much on an internet site. When we first arrived and viewed the setting and walked thru Valliole we were so thrilled. Maria Louise greeted us so warmly and we instantly felt at home. We left our luggage (as we were early) and headed down to Lecchi were we had a late lunch with Paulo. We thought we had died and gone to heaven! What a stunning village (including Paulo!)
Must mention Katia who greeted us when we first arrived. She was so welcoming, warm, helpful and enthusiastic. We met her when we went to pick up the keys. She was not concerned that we were early and encouraged us to leave our bags at the villa and advised us where to have lunch. She was delightful.
We were happy with our rooms and found the beds very comfortable and it was great having our own bathrooms. We made the most of the three eating areas. And did we cook some amazing meals all inspired by Italy! The villa was so clean and it was great having Maria Louise come 3 times a week and clean (and take away all the wine bottles!) We wanted to take her home with us back to Australia!
We were encouraged to use the herbs and salad items in the garden which was a huge bonus to our cooking.
The accommodation got a 10 out of 10 also.
One thing we felt could have been provided was dish washer machine tablets. Some of us have rental houses in Australia and we provide the product we want for our dish washers. We feel that people do not want to be bothered having to get detergent. There was also no black pepper grinder which we all missed!
What were the highlights of our holiday - so many! Here are a few.....
Villa and its setting and the location in Tuscany.
The village of Lechii and San Sano were perfect for our local shopping.
The meals we had at lunchtime everyday at different restaurents, especially at Badia a Coltibuono and Ristoro Di Lamole.
The fun and laughter we shared as 4 couples especially preparing our "Babetes Feast" each evening. The kitchen had everything we needed.
The pool was beautiful to swim in as so clean and excellent water quality and what about the view!!!
Daniellas wine tour were we all got a bit too much vino and became best friends with some of the others on the tour. It continued on our terrace and there was much joy and laughter - a fun night and also yummy food.
Did we have any unpleasant surprises?
None what so ever except we got very lost going to the village of Tonnie. Instead of it being a round trip of 76kms we managed to make it over 200kms. The good side of it was we saw a lot of extra country!
Having the free use of the internet was a great bonus.
I am hoping one day to return to Valliole as it is a very special place and we have all left a part of our hearts there.
