Angolino is a lovely 3 bedroom villa situated a short 1.5km walk away from Radda in Chianti, one of the five main historical towns of the Chianti. The villa is located at the end of a quiet road and is ideal for visiting the beautiful Chianti region with its rolling vine and olive tree covered hills.

Angolino has a lovely terrace around the villa perfect for dining al fresco or just to sit and enjoy the wonderful countryside. In the well-maintained garden there is a simple above ground swimming pool, which is good for a cooling dip after a warm day sightseeing.

To enter the villa you cross a terrace that surrounds part of the house. To one side of this terrace there are steps that bring you to the solarium, with its wonderful view, on the roof of the house.

The lounge is furnished with comfortable low leather chairs. To one side there is a fireplace in terracotta. The floor is tiled with typical terracotta tiles. Along one wall there is a wall unit with TV and video player.

From the lounge you can access the fully equipped kitchen that includes fridge/freezer, oven, gas hobs and dishwasher. In the kitchen there is a small dining table. The owners of Angolino can provide a laundry service should you need it.

To the other side of the lounge up 3 steps you pass under a beautiful stone arch into a large dining area that can seat comfortably 6 people. This room has a wonderful fish bone terracotta floor and wooden beams on the ceiling. To one side there is a coloured glass door leading outside to the terrace.

Through the dining room you enter a bright double bedroom that has a door that leads out onto the terrace and to the stairs to the solarium. This bedroom has a small en-suite bathroom with shower.

The other two bedrooms are accessed from the lounge; one is a twin room with the possibility on request when booking to be made into a double.

The other bedroom is with a double bed. These two bedrooms share a bathroom that has a tub and shower.

Laundry - owners provide a laundry service twice a week at no extra charge
SAT TV is news only
Parking space available for 3 cars

We have no hesitation in recommending Angolino as we, as family being grandparents, adults and grandchildren, were welcomed by Clara and Paulo. Clara always ready with advice on nearby restaurants, shopping was great.
The villa is much better than photos on-line, with many areas to sit and have meals . It is very well set-up with kitchen utensils, bathrooms state of the art.
We stayed 3 weeks and we all had tears on leaving as it was such an enjoyable experience.Thank

We loved villa Angolino and were very well looked after by the hosts who live next door. They even did our personal laundry for us! The villa has all the kitchen and table ware you need to enjoy some meals at home in either of two outdoor settings or a full size dining room. Great restaurants, bars and cafes are to be found in nearby Radda-in-Chianti. Pool and gardens are well maintained and delightful. It is quiet and has fantastic views around 270 degrees. Best to rent a car as it is a bit too far to walk to the town on the narrow road.
Local attractions In the nearby vineyard, Le Vigne is great for food and views Bar Ucci is another fave just a short drive away. Best coffee in Radda - Sandy Bar Cafe next to the Pharmacy Dante is a great cafe for lunch or informal dinner. Great soups and salads. Try Dario's various eating spots in Panzanno - "Mac Dario" great for lunch with no Golden Arches in sight and best beef burgers in Tuscany, they say

We were greeted with a lovely welcome from Clara who owned the villa. It was perfect for us and our dogs that were made so welcome too. The villa had everything just like home and Clara was so helpful even though there was a bit of a language barrier she was so lovely. The views from the Villa were also spectacular and Tuscany is a stunning place.

I don't believe the pictures on the website do the Villa justice it is much nicer when you are there enjoying everything yourselves. Clara also left local wines and prosecco to purchase along with local honey which was very welcoming.
Local attractions We loved Radda in Chianti although a small town it was full of lovely restaurants and bars and lovely shops, nothing cheap but very classy. We visited Greve & Castellina in Chianti but preferred Radda.

The location is stunning and the outside space to the villa fantastic, terraces or garden on 3 sides plus the roof to take advantage of all aspects. Views brilliant.
The owners are extremely friendly and helpful.
The interior is a little dated. The light level in the kitchen is low for cooking.

Clara - after problems with Hertz which I won't go into we arrived at 1120 insteadf of 1930, but Clara was totally unfazed. She cooked us a marvellous meal during the week.
Pool and outdoor eating areas very good.
Views from roof
Very clean and comfortable.
House martins constantly flying around, redstarts in the garden.
Weather first half of the week - but admittedly can't blame villa for this.

No country walks direct from villa
Local attractions We went to the closest restaurants - La Vigne, and a new one whose name escapes me on the SS429 in La Villa. Both very good, very Tuscan. The Gelaterie in Radda is not quite as good as the one in San Giminiano, but still excellent.

The outside space was great, plenty of room both in the sun and in the shade. Having 2 eating areas was also good, sun/shade in/out of the breeze. The pool was lovely (cold when we were there mid/September) but big enough for a swim and the area around was perfect for drying off in the sun. Views from the terrace were spectacular across the vineyards and olive groves of Tuscany. The kitchen was very well equipped and had everything needed for those who enjoy cooking. Inside was spacious. The house and garden were immaculate. The owners were always friendly and helpful, limited English though. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Angolino.
The layout of the interior was a little odd, however we knew this from the plan on the website. The lighting inside wasn't that great but that it the only criticism we had.
Local attractions We took the train from Montevarchi to Florence and Pisa. The latter was 2hours+ away but we really enjoyed this city. Florence was about 30 minutes away - also a great place to visit. Taking the train was definitely the best thing to do as parking in Italian cities is very difficult. We visited Siena and San Gimignamo also worth seeing. Radda was a lovely village with everything you needed but our favourite place was Greve in Chianti, a lovely market square with a market on Saturday. Both these villages had good delis, restaurants, Coops and 'tourist shops' La Vigne just outside Radda was an excellent restaurant.

The villa was better than the pictures! What a beautiful place; well cared for by the owners, clean well equipped and very comfortable. The view was spectacular! We would have stayed longer if we could have and would certainly return again! Thank you to Clara and Paolo for making our stay such a success!
Local attractions While acccess to the highway and major centres was not close, the town of Radda was only 10 minutes away (walking) and offered a lovely little grocery store and a couple of excellent restaurants; notably Loggia del Chianti was superb! trips to Arezzo, Siena and San Gimignano were easily within driving distance and the bus to Florence was reasonably priced and easy to do. There were several wineries nearby and we truly enjoyed the Tuscan hospitality.

We had a wonderful week, and found Clara and Paolo to be friendly and helpful hosts. The garden is small but beautiful, with lots of areas for catching the sun or the shade. The solarium was a great favourite with extensive views of the Tuscan countryside. The kitchen was well equipped. A real highlight was Clara preparing a pizza night for us - three courses: pasta, pizza and dessert plus wine which we ate on the patio.
The directions to the property were not fully clear.
Local attractions Radda in Chianti is lovely, and we were fortunate enough to be there on the fourth Monday of the month when there is an afternoon market at which we got many bargains!

Fabulous roof terrace with amazing views well worth carrying trays of breakfast, lunch, drinks or supper. Pool was clean and well cared for. Screen of vines and olive trees gave privacy in the garden. Owners living next door were very friendly but our Italian and their English didn't make for much conversation. Position of house at top of village just outside Radda was perfect. We found a lovely vineyard restaurant nearby, went wine tasting at a large vineyard and a tiny one, drove to Sienna. We had 1 showery day when we explored hill forts of Monteriggioni and Poggibonsi and ended up in sunshine in the market at Gaoile in Chianti. We also made a short trip to Greve in Chianti. All thoroughly recommended and the countryside is stunning. The house had plenty of room for the wet day and playing games at the dining room table. 3 good sized double rooms and all well kitted out. Worth noting that he sells his own olive oil and has bottles of wine from Albola for sale cheaper than you can buy from the vineyard or the wine shop in Radda. Coop in town was sufficient for all our needs.
1 distant neighbour's dog slept all day but barked in the night!
Local attractions Good shops for handbags/shoes in Radda and Monteriggioni, Gift shops in Radda and Greve. Old Butcher's shop in Greve. Monteriggioni is a fascinating hill fort and the ancient ruins of hill fort at Poggibonsi were huge with an amazing view. Vineyards: large one at Albola and a delightful small one with really delicious wine at Val Dell Corti just west of Radda. Drove back from Sienna via Castello di Brollio but needed to book 24 hrs ahead for tour of castle and a wine tour and by then it was hot so we didn't go back. The Baron's ancestor invented the Chianti wine. Gaoile was a pretty town, market good for fruit and veg and the return journey up the Valley to North was roller coaster with fantastic views. Sienna is always a delightful day out but need to book for Cathedral and Tower. Restaurants in Radda were good. Wine bar on the square friendly, Le Vigne restaurant in vineyard on East side of Radda was lovely. The Tourist office in Radda was useful but she told us the Church was never locked and yet only one of our party ever found it unlocked! The delicatessant/grocery store in Radda is quite an attraction and there is a good looking butcher in the town but I think his prices were more than the Coop!

Location was amazing. The owners were so accommodating with whatever we needed. they took care of things very efficiently. we felt at home right away.
the accommodations were perfect for us. I would have loved to have my own laundry facilities even though the owners did our laundry.
Local attractions we were able to visit nearby towns only minutes away. Very convenient. Volpaia was probably our favorite after meleto.
