Casa Michelangelo 6, Loro Ciuffenna - Arezzo and Cortona
Casa Michelangelo 6 is a charming villa in the heart of the Valdarno. Nearby lies Le Balze, one of Tuscany’s most striking landscapes. These impressive rock formations once inspired Leonardo da Vinci, who immortalised them in the background of the Mona Lisa. With its modern interior and beautifully maintained garden, Casa Michelangelo 6 is an ideal choice for a relaxing family holiday.
The medieval village of Loro Ciuffenna is about a fifteen minute walk away and is considered one of the most beautiful villages in Italy. Its Romanesque bridge over the Ciuffenna and the frescoes from the fourteenth and fifteenth centuries in the church of Santa Maria Assunta give the village a special charm. A selection of shops and restaurants can be found in the centre. The nearby town of Montevarchi, with several large supermarkets, is a fifteen minute drive away. From Montevarchi Terranuova train station, direct trains run to Florence, offering a pleasant and stress free way to visit the famous Renaissance city. Siena, Arezzo, Cortona, Lake Trasimeno, the Chianti towns and the UNESCO recognised Val d’Orcia offer many ideas for varied day trips.
Casa Michelangelo 6 enjoys a peaceful setting and is surrounded by a carefully landscaped garden with manicured lawns and trimmed hedges. At the back of the cream coloured building with grey wooden shutters, a loggia with a dining table invites guests to enjoy meals outdoors. Through an arched gateway and down a few steps, guests reach the pool, which is reserved exclusively for their use. The comfortably furnished pool area offers beautiful views of Loro Ciuffenna and the surrounding hills. In the evening, atmospheric lighting creates a particularly inviting ambiance.
The accommodation is set on one level and is decorated in warm, neutral tones. High quality furniture and carefully chosen details give the rooms a harmonious and welcoming feel.
