Il Solatio enjoys a beautiful hillside position with sweeping views of olive groves, vineyards and gently wooded hills. With its two spacious holiday apartments, this villa is an excellent choice for two families or a group of friends who wish to spend time together while still appreciating a greater sense of privacy.

The village of Cavriglia is about a ten minute drive away, offering several restaurants and a small Coop supermarket. Nearby lies the Malerba winery, which produces distinctive wines and olive oil and offers interesting tastings. The larger town of Montevarchi is around twenty minutes away, with several large supermarkets and a train station with direct services to Florence, providing a relaxed way to visit the Renaissance city. The towns and villages of the Chianti region are within easy reach, and Arezzo, Siena, Cortona and the UNESCO-listed Val d’Orcia offer inspiring options for unforgettable day trips.

The two holiday apartments are part of a lovingly restored natural stone house, surrounded by manicured lawns, slender yew trees and colourful flowerbeds with lavender, heather and many other plants. In front of both entrances, a dining table beneath a pergola creates a welcoming place to enjoy meals while admiring the Tuscan landscape. The large pool is only a few metres from the house and features a shaded terrace with a generous sofa, an ideal spot to unwind.

Inside, wooden beamed ceilings, rustic yet comfortable furnishings and selected antique pieces create an authentic and warm Tuscan atmosphere.

Everything was great and I would definitely recommend the villa to friends. The property is huge with olives, a vineyard and forests. The owners worked sometimes during the day on the property, but we would almost never cross paths. The villa is very secluded and there are no neighbors which is great. You just have to take into account that the location of the villa and the village is not ideal if you want to have daily visits to Tuscany cities because it is on average an hour away by car to the most famous ones.
