Even in the summer months it remains tranquil and authentic. Surrounded by unspoilt nature, La Canonica is perfect for families or groups of friends seeking a peaceful  countryside retreat, with views across wooded  hills  and other stone villages stretching all the way  to Bagni di Lucca.

While Brandeglio itself offers no services, these can be found just 7km away in Bagni di Lucca. Here you’ll find all amenities including electric car charging points,  3 supermarkets, and a good selection of local shops and restaurants.  Particularly recommended  by the friendly owners are Pizzeria da Pippo, Circolo dei Forestieri, and the Agriturismo Pian di Fiume, located about 7 km away. The area invites exploration, from ancient thermal springs once favoured by the Etruscans, to forgotten villages and the famous Devil’s Bridge (Ponte della Maddalena). The historic city of Lucca with its preserved walls, is  about 40 minutes away by car, and the Tuscan coast is approximately 55 km away. The region is also ideal for lovers of  hiking, cycling , rafting , kayaking.and mountain biking.

La Canonica is in an absolutely peaceful hilltop location , 600 metres above sea level, with spectacular views over the surrounding landscape. The spacious stone villa blends harmoniously with its natural setting and offers perfect conditions for relaxing days outdoors  A covered terrace invites al fresco dining, while the terraced garden planted with lavender, rosebushes, fruit trees and hydrangeas provides a picturesque backdrop. The pool is nestled into the landscape and offers panoramic views over the valley  - an ideal spot for relaxation and enjoyment.

This two‑storey holiday home has been tastefully restored and features original  wooden beam ceilings, original fireplaces, hand‑painted wardrobes, antique furnishings and beautiful tiled floors. Carefully selected  details create a warm and welcoming atmosphere.
