Set on the edge of the tiny village of Brandeglio, in Lucca, this lovely stone villa boasts a great location on a sloping site looking towards the forest-covered hills and down to Bagni di Lucca below. The spacious, fully furnished terrace is just the place to contemplate these captivating vistas and will easily accommodate your party of 8 when you gather for a lingering lunch or pre-dinner drinks. Venture down to the pretty garden to discover your private pool, which also offers sweeping rural views as you swim.

Inside, there’s lots of space, so everyone can find a spot to relax on one of six squishy sofas in the two lounges or around the table in the dining room that sits 8. If the nights are chilly, there’s a huge fireplace to gather around, too. The décor and furnishings are typical Tuscan villa style – smart, rustic and exceedingly comfortable, while the bedroom arrangements are flexible enough to suit a variety of groups.

So, whether you’re planning to travel with a group of friends, or on a multi-generational family holiday, this could well be the villa you’re looking for. The sheer variety of things to do nearby makes it an even more attractive option, and its village location means there’s a little life on the doorstep, too, for those who don’t want to be completely disconnected from the world. Although the property is located on the edge of a small village, it overlooks the countryside so it is still a peaceful position. The villa adjoins another property on one wall only. One pet per booking is allowed. The basement bathroom and laundry room are accessed from the pool area. The pool area is reached via a set of steps, so might present difficulties for guests with mobility problems. The bathroom on the ground floor is only accessible from the villa’s terrace. The bathroom in the basement can only be accessed from the outside.

The villa is located in a tiny hamlet Brandeglio of only 40 residents, there are no amenities in the hamlet. The nearest town with amenities is Bagni di Lucca, which is about 10km away. It has several small grocery shops and a supermarket. There is also a choice of other shops and amenities such as banks, pharmacy, post office, petrol station. There is also a selection of restaurants. The owners of La Canonica reccommend two restaurants in the area Pio X found at Ponte a Serraglio and the Pizzeria Da Vinicio in Bagni di Lucca.
