La Canonica 8 is a beautiful stone house on the edge of the picturesque village of Brandeglio, a charming place with just around 50 permanent residents. Even during the summer months it remains quiet and authentic. Surrounded by pristine nature, La Canonica is ideal for families or groups of friends seeking a peaceful retreat in the countryside, with views across forested hills down to Bagni di Lucca.

Brandeglio itself has no amenities, but about 9 km away in Bagni di Lucca you’ll find a CONAD supermarket, small shops, and a good selection of restaurants. Especially recommended are Pizzeria da Pippo, Circolo dei Forestieri, and the Agriturismo Pian di Fiume, located about 7 km away. The area invites exploratio - ancient thermal springs once appreciated by the Etruscans, forgotten villages, and the famous Devil’s Bridge (Ponte della Maddalena). The historic city of Lucca with its intact walls is reachable in about 50 minutes, and the Tuscan coast lies roughly 65 km away. The region is also ideal for anyone who enjoys hiking, cycling or kayaking.

La Canonica 8 is in an absolutely tranquil location on a hill, 640 metres above sea level, offering spectacular views across the surrounding landscape. The spacious holiday house of local tuff stone blends harmoniously into its natural setting and provides perfect conditions for relaxed outdoor days. A covered terrace invites shared meals outdoors while the terraced garden planted with lavender, roses and hydrangeas provides a captivating backdrop. The pool is set into the landscape and offers wide views of the valley and offers the perfect place to unwind and enjoy.

This two‑storey holiday house has been tastefully restored and features wooden beamed ceilings, original fireplaces, hand‑painted wardrobes, antique furnishings and beautifully tiled floors. Carefully chosen details create a warm and welcoming atmosphere.

The public parking for the hamlet is about 150 metres from the villa.

The villa is located in a tiny hamlet Brandeglio of only 40 residents, there are no amenities in the hamlet. The nearest town with amenities is Bagni di Lucca, which is about 10km away. It has several small grocery shops and a supermarket. There is also a choice of other shops and amenities such as banks, pharmacy, post office, petrol station. There is also a selection of restaurants. The owners of La Canonica reccommend two restaurants in the area Pio X found at Ponte a Serraglio and the Pizzeria Da Vinicio in Bagni di Lucca.
