La Pagliera di Badia a Passignano is a charming villa for two, offering a tranquil and romantic setting in the heart of the Tuscan countryside. Located on the edge of a small rural hamlet, the property enjoys panoramic views of the historic Badia a Passignano, a thousand-year-old abbey belonging to the Vallombrosan order.
The abbey is just a 15-minute walk from the villa and features a stunning Last Supper fresco by Domenico Ghirlandaio. Nearby, guests will find excellent restaurants such as Di Vino, which serves traditional dishes with views over the vineyards, or the Michelin-starred Osteria di Passignano. A small grocery store is located in the nearby village of Sambuca, and all major amenities can be found in Tavarnelle Val di Pesa, a ten-minute drive away. Florence, Siena and San Gimignano can each be reached in under 45 minutes.
The villa is a single-storey stone house that has been beautifully restored. Inside, exposed stone walls, wooden beamed ceilings and large windows create a bright and elegant atmosphere. The minimalist interior offers both comfort and character. Outside, there is a small dining terrace in front of the house and a second shaded terrace by the pool. Guests are also welcome to pick herbs and vegetables from the lovely garden.
La Pagliera is the perfect place for couples seeking peace, beauty and culture in one of Tuscany’s most iconic landscapes.

Wir hatten wundervolle 10 Tage in Badia a Passignano. Zu Beginn wurden wir freundlich von Tommaso begrüsst und er erklärte uns alles wichtige. Ausserdem bekamen wir gute Tipps für E-Bike-Touren und Restaurants.
Die Unterkunft liegt wunderschön und idyllisch inmitten von Olivenbäumen und einem wunderschönen Anwesen. Das Pool ist nicht zu toppen, somit konnten wir uns einfach wunderbar entspannen. Die Lage ist grossartig für Tagesausflüge nach Florenz, Siena und San Gimignano sowie weiteren schönen Städtchen.
Ohne Air Condition ist es jedoch kaum aushaltbar im Steinhäuschen während den Sommermonaten. Diese Kosten kamen zum Mietpreis noch dazu. In dieser Preisklasse wäre es schön, wenn dies bereits inklusiv wäre.
Trotzdem würden wir jederzeit wieder herkommen und die Unterkunft weiterempfehlen.
