Le Balze, Terranuova Bracciolini - Arezzo and Cortona
High in the hills of eastern Tuscany, this converted barn and its grounds score strongly when it comes to comfort and spaciousness. Its substantial private pool is the first thing you’ll see on entering the gates: it sits in the middle of a large, hedged lawn, complete with a romantic cabana to one side and Roman steps to enter the water. Le Balze itself commands a small rise above the pool, looking out over surrounding wooded hilltops. The grounds wrap around the building, including a vegetable garden and young orchard – you are welcome to produce from both. And this open-handedness extends to the interior, where bedrooms and living spaces alike are generous. The accommodation will suit families or friends – you’ll find plenty of spaces for being together or enjoying some down time, whether that’s around the pool, in the lounge, conservatory or loggia.
Arezzo, Florence and Siena are all accessible for day trips from here but don’t forget the smaller delights of, for example, Loro Ciuffenna, just up the road, and Chianti’s hilltop villages, across the Arno valley.

Auf Grund der Lage ist das WLAN nicht immer stabil und schnell. Es gibt teilweise kein Mobilfunk Empfang.
Ansonsten ist das Haus und die Anlage sehr schön. Die Kontaktperson und der Besitzer waren für uns immer erreichbar.
Wir haben den Pool geliebt. Direkt nebenan ist auch eine sehr leckeres Restaurant
We enjoyed day trips to Montelpuciano, San Gimignano, Siena and Firenze and our meal next door was fantastic!
