With an atmosphere of a private country cottage grandeur, with climbing vines trailing across the exterior walls, this stone crafted barn conversion is spacious and secluded with plenty of room. The open plan interior is a curious combination of the modern and antique. What’s more, the traditional antique aspects aren’t just Italian, there’s a distinct Moroccan flavour in the designs too.

The grounds are expansive with wild plants and shrubs reflecting the forest land beyond, stretching out onto a hillside where you’ll find the clear infinity pool with unforgettable views of the Chianti and Val d’Orcia below. A private garden is set beside the property and features a barbeque as well as a furnished terrace. Just outside the main entrance is an outdoor lounge area with cushioned chairs and a coffee table – perfect for relaxing with a book and a glass of wine.

For the active, the location is paradise with never ending trails and routes for walkers and bikers. You can find your own way or tap into the local network of guides and equipment hire. Montelodoli Capanna is only 11km away from the delightful Gaiole in Chianti stocked with local artisanal products, and for yet more grandeur the Ricasoli estate is just 2km away with Brolio Castle, a restaurant, wine tasting store and a vintage style bar.
