Location parfaite pour 2 petites familles qui souhaitent être indépendants tout en partageant de bons moments ensemble. Accueil très sympathique, attentif et efficace d'E****** qui est extrêmement gentille et toujours disponible. A conseiller.
Une seule suggestion : essayer de mettre de la souplesse dans les dates de séjour car les arrivées et départs en voiture en Italie le samedi en juillet et aout sont à éviter absolument ++++ . Nous avons tellement souffert à notre arrivée (450 km en 10h) que nous sommes repartis le vendredi en perdant une journée de location .

- Gaiole was not our prefered place to be. We were one time in the Restaurant Galleto Briaco, which was very good - Our favorite village was Rada, approx 20 Min from Gaiole, with more Shops and Restaurants

Sehr schöner Standort, sehr gepflegte Gartenanlage, schöner Pool, schöne Terrassen.
Wir hatten 2 übereinanderliegende Wohnungen zu 4 Erwachsenen gemietet und haben uns dort sehr wohlgefühlt.
Die Wohnungen sind gut ausgestattet, in der Küche der oberen Wohnung ( die andere haben wir nicht benutzt) gab es ausreichend Geschirr und Gläser, alle Utensilien, die man zum Kochen benötigt, waren vorhanden.
Wir würden immer wieder gerne eines der in der Anlage befindlichen Häuser mieten.

Von der Anlage Mulino di Camporata kann fussläufig ein sehr schönes Restaurant und gute Pizzeria am Berg erreichen, Restaurant unbedingt vorreservieren. Galileo in Chianti ist zu Fuß in gut 10 Minuten erreichbar und hat einige nette und gut Restaurants, Cafe und Eiscafé sowie gute kleine Läden für den täglichen Bedarf, besonders empfehlenswert die kleine Metzgerei im Ort.

Find the hilltop hamlet of Vertine just across the valley. It's stunning!

Lovely stay at Mulino di Camporata. The villa was located a 5 min walk to Gaiole where there was a small supermarket for essentials, and some restaurants. The villa itself was extremely well equipped, had everything we needed. We enjoyed some BBQs & eating on the terrace, despite all the rain and thunderstorms the week we were there!! The upstairs apartment is much nicer than downstairs, which is quite cold and dark. We were also glad our 8 month old baby wasn't crawling because there are lots of steps and the pool area isn't safe for crawling/walking babies.

Idyllic, peaceful, beautiful location. Short walk into Gaiole in Chianti with shops and places to eat. Great place from which to explore Tuscany and a lovely place to stop do nothing and relax. The owner is very warm, friendly, and helpful without being obtrusive and made us very welcome. We had a fabulous time - just the two of us - and it would be a great place to go to with friends.

The chef in the deli in the village does fabulous meals that you can take away. The owner's recommendations that are in the villa are worth reading! Judgements spot on.

We loved our week in Mulino di Campotata. The area is quiet but close enough to the main cities for day trips!
The actual house was beautiful and very comfortable and the owner was really approachable!

Nachbarn auf Sicht- und Hörweite ganz nah dran (5 Meter), so dass man nicht ungestört war, sondern jedes Wort hören konnte.
Küchenausstattung nur durchschnittlich.
Zweites Badezimmer falsches Gefälle des Bodens, so dass das Duschwasser in den ganzen Raum läuft statt in den Gulli.
Matrazen sehr (zu) weich.

Castellina, Volpaia, Raddha

2 separate apartments perfect for two couples holidaying together. Delightful property, beautiful terrace, pool and garden. Well equipped and no shortage of towels etc. Separate laundry room was very handy. Owner very welcoming and gave local recommendations and even gave us food for our BBQ one evening!

The lower apartment had a damp smell

We used this as a base for cycling which was great. Enjoyed restaurant La Ponte, also Le Contrade for an elegant dinner (over the road but up a hill!). Great kebabs for BBQ bought from butcher's in town. The Wine bar in town is super. Must sees are Radda in Chianti and Siena, we also took train to Florence . We had been in the area previously so enjoyed discovering small villages on our cycle rides

Die Eigentümerin Sue ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit und steht mit Rat und Tat zur Seite. Sehr schöner, sauberer Pool, und ein gepflegtes Gartengrundstück. Das Anwesen liegt schön ruhig und abgeschieden und man ist dennoch in wenigen Minuten im Zentrum von Gaiole. Die beiden Wohnungen sind zweckmäßig eingerichtet und mit allem Nötigen ausgestattet.

Die Bäder sind sehr klein. Das Ausziehsofa als dritter Schlafplatz im Wohnzimmer ist nur bedingt für Erwachsene geeignet. Bei ausgeklappten Sofa ist der Durchgang zum Schlafzimmer sehr beengt. Idealbesetzung sind aus unserer Sicht pro Wohnung max. zwei Personen.

Siena ist absolut sehenswert. Sehr schön ist auch Volpaia, ein altes, ehem. Weingut. Dort kann man auch sehr lecker essen und natürlich (wie überall) guten Wein kaufen. Sehr zu empfehlen ist das Ristorante Le Conrade! Diese ist auch zu Fuß vom Haus in wenigen Minuten zu erreichen. Absolut NICHT empfehlenswert ist die Pizzeria gleich rechts unten (noch vor der Fußgängerzone) im Ort Gaiole. Sieht nett aus, der Wirt ist aber maximal unfreundlich und das Essen nicht besonders.

Das Haus, der Pool und der grosse Garten waren sehr schön. Wir hatten eine gute Zeit in der Mulino. Waschmaschine, Geschirrspüler, ja die gesamte Küche war sehr gut ausgestattet und man konnte sofort loslegen (kochen). Sue hat uns herzlich empfangen und wir fühlten uns jederzeit willkommen. Auch Ihr Personal war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit.

Beim Pool wäre ein zweiter Sonnenschirm wünschenswert gewesen. Auch eine Dusche haben wir vermisst - oder springen immer alle verschwitzt in den Pool? Aber dies ist jammern auf hohem Niveau :-).
Ein kleines Manko hat die untere Wohnung. Es riecht ein wenig "moderig". Während des Tages gut lüften war nötig, dann war es einwandfrei.

Honestly everything. Sue the owner is so nice and welcoming and so friendly and helpful. the buildings / place / atmosphere is perfect. All four of us said we will go back.

everything.....it was so relaxing....peaceful.

loved Siena / Florence / Lucca and Pisa. Each place had something worth seeing and the shops were plentiful. Lots of walking and some nice hills, so make sure you take good walking shoes.please try out the private dining.......with chefs Andrea and or Michela from il_fiasco@hotmail.com will happily accommodate you. The food was amazing and Andrea the chef was so nice, he explained each meal to us and told us a few stories about the area. Also Dypman....i am so glad that we went through your website.....you made the experience less stressful, you have been very helpful and we will defiantly use you again (no question :) ). we tried out all restaurants...all i can say, it's down to personal preference and they all have good food and beer.
