Cradled by the Chianti hills, Podere La Casa is a peaceful retreat cloaked in countryside. Yet, the location is deceptive. An easy 800m walk from this quiet spot is the bustling town of Cavriglia and you’re just 10 minutes’ drive from the road that connects Florence to Arezzo and the promise of irresistible sightseeing. Turn inland to wind your way to the historic towns of Gaiole and Radda, calling by wineries to choose something special from the surrounding vineyards to go with dinner.
Yet take time out to just enjoy your surroundings, too. Podere La Casa is perfect for groups of four adults and one young child, so you might be surprised to find that the kidney-shaped pool with its generous wraparound sundeck and gazebo, plus two stretches of lawn, one with a barbecue, are just for your party to enjoy.
The inviting shaded terrace that lines the front of the house is likely to be a popular place to relax. Inside there are two good-sized bedrooms, both with their own bathrooms, and a small single for the child. A well-equipped kitchen, large enough for a dining table, sits at the heart of the property, and there’s a lounge area, too. The simple modern décor offsets traditional Tuscan touches such as the tiled and beamed ceilings and terracotta floors. It's both a comfy and well-connected villa, the best of both worlds.

The pretty town of Cavriglia is just 800m away, where you can immerse yourself in Tuscan life style, joining the locals for coffee or aperitivo in the square. The town has a supermarket, shops, bars and restaurants including an excellent pizzeria. There is a train station at Montevarchi, 10 km away, with direct train access to Florence and offers a free car park.

Das Haus war wirklich total schön und hat unsere Erwartungen übertroffen. Das ganze Gelände mit dem Blick ins Tal waren wundervoll. Eine absolute Empfehlung für 4 Leute und einen entspannten Toskana Urlaub.Ristorante il cenacolo srls: ehrliches und leckeres ital. Restaurant. (Fußweg: keine 15 Min.) Papposileno Ristorante Enoteca: tolle Location, gehobene Restaurant, welches deutlich teurer ist als der Durchschnitt. (Fußweg: keine 20 Min.) Fokus eher auf Fischgerichte. Einziger kleiner Makel: der Nachtisch. Die "Windbeutel" waren nix. PIZZA DOC: gefühlt DER Pizzaladen in Cavriglia - zu Recht! Super lecker, Preis-Leistung ist top. (Fußweg: keine 20 Min.) Osteria dei Trenta: war lecker und alles solide, gibt nix zu meckern, so ein bisschen wie Restaurant Nr. 1 oben, aber zum ersten würde ich gefühlt eher hingehen, nettere Atmosphäre.
