Jadąc do La Torre, trzyba się zaopatrzyć w ogromną ilość środków przeciwkomarowych, bo bardzo uprzykrzają życie.

Do najbliższej restauracji w San Sano jest okolo 10 min jazdy. La Torre jest bardzo schowana, więc trzeba się liczyć z minimum 20 min podróżą do innych restauracji, winiarni czy sklepu.

Although the access road was rather 'bumpy', the rest of our experience was superb. The house easily accommodated my family of four adults and two children. For those with young children (we had a two year old and a four year old), great care needs to be taken with the many steps. The kitchen was very well equipped, there were plentiful bath and pool towels, the dishwasher and washing machine were used every day, making our lives easier and clothes dried quickly on the terrace.
The pool is great, with enough sunbeds to accommodate all who used the area. (I can recommend an early morning swim - peaceful amongst the beautiful surroundings).

We loved to have an early evening drink in Gaiole, a lovely little town with bars and restaurants - ideal for watching the world go by, and a real buzz on our last Friday night, when we had a nice and very reasonably priced meal in one of the friendly restaurants. There is a Co op supermarket there, where you can get anything you need. (The biggest and best Co op is the Co op FI near Siena, about twenty-five minutes away). We visited Siena and Florence, and many of the beautiful small towns and villages in the area. We particularly enjoyed a morning in Radda, with its amazing views.
