Perched in the Tuscan hills, close to the city of Lucca, Residenza al Principe is a villa that would lend itself to a special family celebration or anniversary. Standing in splendid isolation amid extensive lawns, with a spacious kitchen and lounge-diner, and five generously-sized bedrooms all with their own bathrooms, there's more than enough room for everyone. Step inside this beautifully restored property and you instantly feel as though you are exploring your own private boutique hotel (this used to be a B&B). The villa has been renovated to an extremely high specification and you are sure to warm to its modish colour schemes, which alternate cream and beige with bolder combinations. Mood lighting, sleek furniture, Roman blinds, luxurious banquettes and walk-in tiled showers add further touches of luxury.
You can dine within these stylish surroundings or al fresco on the terrace under a large shaded pergola, swagged with voiles, perhaps enjoying pizza made from the wood-burning oven. The grounds are huge and enclosed and will make a natural playground for any children in your party. A ping-pong table, a 5-a-side football field, two hammocks and plenty of deckchairs mean that everyone can, should they wish, find a place to retreat to. There is also the large private pool to enjoy, with another shaded and furnished pergola, from where there are more views of the surrounding mountains.

+ les chambres à l'étage sont séparées en deux groupes de deux chambres. Pratique lorsqu'il y a des enfants en bas âge ou des familles distinctes
+ la table à l'extérieur est quasiment continuellement à l'ombre. Très appréciable
+ pour une arrivée le samedi, des femmes de ménage viennent le mercredi pour un premier nettoyage. Egalement la 2ème semaine
+ la mise à disposition des linges et serviettes de bain est pratique. De plus, possibilité de faire des lessives grâce à la buanderie mise à disposition
+ entretien quotidien de la piscine. Discrétion du gardien appréciable
+ Le fait qu'il y ait trois réfrigérateurs et deux lave-vaisselles est très appréciable lorsqu'on est nombreux (10 personnes)
+ quasiment chaque pièce de la villa dispose d'une climatisation indépendante
- la consommation d'électricité est facturée séparément en plus du prix de la location. C'est compréhensible s'il y a des charges de véhicule électrique ou une utilisation inappropriée et abusive de la climatisation mais il pourrait y avoir une consommation forfaitaire comprise dans la location (X KW/h) d'autant que la villa est équipée de panneaux solaires
- le four à pizza fait partie de l'équipement mais il n'y a ni bois ni ustensiles
Sehr zu empfehlen ist die Osteria Il Ciancino in unmittelbarer Nähe zur Villa. Bestes Bistecca was ich bisher gegessen habe. Überhaupt einfach die vom Wirt empfohlenen Gerichte probieren.
Hervorragendes Lokal in Lucca direkt an der Piazza dell´Anfiteatro ist das LÀngolo Tondo, sehr gutes Essen und freundliches Personal. Wir haben hier das 5-gängige Überraschungsmenü des Küchenchefs genossen - top.
