The house is located in the heart of Chianti Classico with easy access to renowned wineries and historic castles. The famous Castello di Ama, known for its collection of contemporary art, is just a few kilometres away. The charming towns of Radda and Gaiole are only 10 to 15 minutes away by car and offer great restaurants, small shops, and a supermarket. The picturesque village of Lecchi, home to the excellent Ristorante Malborghetto, is just 2.5 kilometres away. Siena, Florence, San Gimignano, and Arezzo are all ideal for day trips.
Sassolaia is peacefully located in the Tuscan hills, offering rural seclusion while still being well connected. The traditional stone façade gives the house its Tuscan character. A large covered terrace is perfect for outdoor meals and relaxed barbecues. The manicured garden with lawn and a beautiful pool invites you to unwind and enjoy the views.
The house is all on one level and has a practical layout, making it comfortable and easy to live in.
Inside, the combination of Tuscan country style, exposed wooden beams, and a warm, welcoming interior creates an immediate sense of home.

Wir haben eine Woche (3 Erwachsene + 1 Hund) in dem wunderschönen Haus Sassolaia verbracht. Das Haus hat alles was man braucht. Die Küche war super ausgestattet und es hat uns an nichts gefehlt. Das Grundstück mit dem großen Pool ist traumhaft und die Lage im Olivenhain und umgeben von Wald und Weinbergen einfach perfekt für einen entspannten Aufenthalt in der Toskana. Das Grundstück ist komplett eingezäunt, was mit Hund einfach super war, da man nicht ständig schauen muss wo er sich gerade aufhält, obwohl unsere Schäferhündin am liebsten unter dem einen oder an deren Olivenbaum im Garten gechillt hat ;-) Direkt vom Haus aus kann man auch super die eine oder andere Gassirunde starten. Die Zufahrt zum Haus geht zwar ein Stück über eine eher unebene Schotterstraße, aber der Weg bis zum Haus ist nur kurz und war selbst mit unserem BMW Coupe kein Problem ;-) Was wir in der Toskana auch anders kennen ;-) Der Kontakt mit unserer Gastgeberin Laura war von Beginn an einfach super. Wir hatten vor der Anreise per WhatsApp Ankunftszeit etc. vereinbart und es hat alles super geklappt. Laura hat uns herzlich Willkommen geheißen und uns alles im Haus und auf dem Grundstück gezeigt und erklärt. Es gab sogar ein kleines Willkommensgeschenk und es stand Wasser, Saft und Kaffee bereit. Ich kann das Haus und Laura als Gastgeberin uneingeschränkt empfehlen und wir würden jederzeit wieder kommen. Danke für den tollen Aufenthalt.

Typisch für das Chianti Gebiet sind die Strecken zwar Kilometermäßig kurz, aber aufgrund der kurvigen Straßen dauern Ausflüge mit dem Auto eben etwas länger. Dafür kann man aber auch auf jedem KM die Landschaft genießen. Wir waren in Siena (ca. 45 Minuten bis zum Parkhaus in der Stadt), San Gimignano (ca. 1 Stunde), natürlich diverse Male zum Einkaufen (Coop) und bummeln in Radda (ca. 10-15 Minuten). Ich selbst bin mit dem Hund viel zu Fuß in der näheren Umgebung unterwegs gewesen, wo sich auch das ein oder andere Weingut findet.
