Tenuta Pian Del Gallo, Greve in Chianti - Florence and Chianti

The rooms and overall size feels much bigger than the pictures on the web site. It was very clean and well presented and everything worked as expected. Marco is available if there are any issues and was there in the morning to clean the pool. He doesn't speak English but Google translate meant we could communicate fine or you can whatsapp the villa team and they will talk to him.
There is one road in so you have privacy and are surrounded by some amazing views, this also means it is very peaceful. The village of Greve is 5 minutes away by car so supplies are easily obtained and the local supermarket was very helpful and had everything we needed. There are aslo some nice restaurants and shops with the patisserie being a favorite for breakfast.

We did a half day wine tour organised through Chianti Taxi's and really enjoyed that. The wine isn't any cheaper to buy from the wineries (which surprised me) but it was a lovely experieince with detail provided of the wine and olive oil production plus some nibbles whilst sampling. If going to Florence or Siena make sure you choose a car park outzide the ZTL as it is easy to be fined if you dont check before leaving.

The photos don’t do it justice. This place is phenomenal. Highly recommend. Spacious bedrooms, all with ensuites and aircon. The views are absolutely breathtaking! A 40th birthday celebration I’ll never forget. Town only 5min drive away. Lots of wineries nearby. Thank you!

We had the most amazing stay. We were a group of 11 girls and looked at many villas in the area and were all so glad we picked this one! The property is very large and every room is spacious with its own bathroom. The pool was a highlight and we gathered around it every day for a swim or just to listen to the birds sing. Greve is a nice 15min walk or 2min drive away with cute shops and restaurants as well as Montefiorralle. Make sure to ask the host about cooking classes or wine tastings at the Villa! We did both and had such a wonderful time. What a special place. We hope to return someday.

Actually, it has been the most spectacular villa we’ve ever stayed in in our lives. The location was perfect, all the bedrooms have their own bathroom, the view was spectacular, the pool — everything, absolutely everything was spectacular.

The place matches the pictures! It was beautiful, enchanting, and in great condition. The home had clearly been renovated recently and it looked like it. Lots of space, big rooms, and nice layout for a big group and had covered parking that looked like at least 4 cars could fit.
The host connected us with a private chef that cooked our first dinner and provided most of our breakfasts.
There are plenty of amenities in town which is a 5 min drive. Grocery store, restaurants gas station, wine tasting, shops.
Things to be aware of:
-It’s a gravel road with some ruts and bumps, so be prepared for an off-road drive.
-It’s considered an agribusiness and that meant someone was there every day checking on or working the property. This was a surprise to us, but the person was nice.
-It has a washer/dryer combo. It kept tripping the circuit breaker, so we didn’t get much laundry done. Plan to air dry your clothes.
-The host isn’t onsite and we didn’t meet them.

For the very private location, only occasionally a jogger or walker gets lost, if the gate is open, the access via the unpaved road is really okay, as it is relatively short - we also know that differently in Tuscany. The house or the two houses are spacious and modern and ideal for a large group. Family, private and very pretty.

The villa and grounds are absolutely amazing, and they provide pretty much everything that you need for an amazing stay. We have small children and brand-new highchairs/cots were provided, which was much appreciated. There were a few teething problems as we were one of the first guests to stay at the villa, but the response time was very good. Unfortunately, the WiFi service was not particularly good, even after the property manager contacted the satellite company.
The main issue we faced was that the owners of the villa came to visit the property one day - they did not come to greet to us or to let us know that they would be wandering around the property for two hours. We found this extremely unacceptable given that we had hired the villa for private use. If we had been asked in advance, it would not have been an issue.

We stayed at this villa for my mom’s 70th birthday with ten of us, including a baby. It was an incredible experience. It’s a wonderful place to stay as a big family and have long lingering meals and lounge around the house while still having incredible access to tons of places in Tuscany by car, bus, or train. We loved it and would absolutely stay here again.

Our stay at Tenuta Pian Del Gallo was better than we could have ever imagined. The property is beautiful and all the bedrooms are of a high standard. There's a beautiful outdoor area for dinners (and a great indoor dining room too), and the pool and gardens are immaculate (lots of herbs and lavender growing in the gardens). Wouldn't hesitate to recommend it and hope to return one day!!

The place was beautiful, and we loved the outdoor area with the pool, gardens and hilly surroundings. The home had large bedrooms with private baths and was nicely decorated. It would’ve been a perfect stay, but I’d note the water had a very strong smell. Hope that is remedied, and otherwise I’d highly recommend!

We had a great stay at the villa. Fantastic location with amazing views with the town a short walk away. Easy drive or bus to Florence. Highly recommended.

No specific favourites but plenty cafes and restaurants to chose from in town.
