In Pontassieve the Giusti sisters, Aurora and Sara, have opened a fantastic wine bar.
Here, as well as local wines, both known and newly discovered, you can find locally made, high quality products such as condiments, jams, cookies, truffles, brandy, spumanti, oils, and also accessories for sommeliers. The Mommo is also a really warm and cozy little place where, it's not only possible to buy wines but you can also have a good drink and some snacks (crostini, pasta salad, cold meats, cheeses).

Ristorante Mulino A Vento
The Mulino a Vento restaurant is well known and has been appreciated since the 1940’s for its cooking inspired by the more authentic Tuscany traditions. It gets its name from the town’s Windmill, recently restored and where the farm still grinds its biological wheat for the production of pasta, flat bread and cakes. Restaurant with the views from the large open balcony, has a superb selection of traditional Tuscan food that suits everyone's tastes, and great wine. All in a beautiful atmosphere. Sergio and Sonia head the wonderful team that offers classic Tuscan cuisine in a beautiful picturesque setting overlooking the rolling hills. You can enjoy some dinners ranging from a perfectly cooked Florentine steak to regional classics like wildboar sauce over homemade pasta to delicious desserts including a vanilla pannacotta with homemade chocolate sauce. Not to be missed are the incredible wines produced at Fattoria Lavacchio including a spectacular Chianti Reserva as well as an award winning Vin Santo served with classic cantucci biscuits.

This restaurant is up a winding road and when you get to the top of the hill, you find an unassuming building. The food is fantastic. Don't miss the typical Tuscan dishes like truffle ravioli and the specialties based on mushrooms, homemade pasta, grilled meat and roasts, pizza baked in a wood oven, and great homemade desserts. The porcini mushroom soup is a specialty of the restaurant and unique in its kind.
