Villa Prenzano, Greve in Chianti - Florence and Chianti

Prenzano overlooks the Panzano to Greve valley in Chianti, the most fitting location for a Tuscan villa. It’s an amazingly pretty 11th century farmhouse that’s surrounded by olive groves, vineyards, oak woods and cypress trees. Yet the cultural delights of Florence, San Gimgnano and Siena are just a day-trip away.

The chic country retreat of Prenzano could not feel more Tuscan. Its authentic features lend the restored farmhouse a warm, homely feel. Terracotta tiles, wood beams, shuttered windows, vaulted halls and arched doors all hark back to a simpler age. The seven cosy bedrooms, furnished with antique pieces, are generously spread across three levels.

The spacious sitting room is on three levels and opens onto the loggia terrace. Adjoining it you will find a traditional bread oven which adds an immense feeling of a time when bread was made each day in the home, but now can be used for fun grill evenings.

Prenzano can accommodate 12 around its dining table found by the modern stylish kitchen. Convenient for the main outside area, you’ll enjoy magnificent views across the valley as you tuck into a freshly prepared Tuscan feast. There is a covered external living area and a generous swimming pool both shaded by pergolas. These are the perfect spots for a sundowner as evening falls on another perfect day in Tuscany.

The Tuscan villa is a 10 minute stroll from Vignamaggio, open for wine tastings and a restaurant. Keen walkers will no doubt want to head up to dine on the panoramic terrace of Lamole,  5 km away. Into the valley 5km away, is Greve in Chianti, here you'll find all amenities and may want to hang out in the piazza's loggia and be a part of the scene before arriving home to a sensational sunset.
